Once they were done, they brought them right over—not even on plates, just straight from the steaming basket onto the table. The waiter said, "The kitchen specially told us to serve them right from the steamer. They'll taste better that way."
Fan Tianyu never cared much about using plates anyway; he much preferred leaving steamed food in the steamer, hated when the buns got soggy from water in bowls. Serving straight from the steamer was better, and with how big they were, each basket held seven or eight, just right for everyone in their private room to each have one.
Each steaming basket had only one kind of bun, so everyone grabbed one and popped it in their mouth—no need to hold back. It tasted so good that everyone was thoroughly satisfied.
