Zhenzhen took a sip of water, pretending she knew nothing, and asked blankly, "Huh? Aunt's coming to Jiangcheng… What's she looking for us for?"
Mei Yifan seemed surprised that Zhenzhen would answer like that, stunned for a moment. But thinking about it, this answer wasn't really wrong. Everyone does this—acts clueless even when they know what's going on. Besides, Jiang Xiumei coming to find them couldn't possibly be for anything good, so pretending not to know was even more normal.
"Right, what do you need to know that for? Just pretend I didn't say anything, hurry up and eat."
The motive wasn't pure, but it was rare for Mei Yifan to play the wise one, so Zhenzhen wouldn't ruin her moment. "Yeah, Aunt, when are you free before school starts? Maybe take a day off and go check out Qiuhe's school together, send her off to start classes. Seeing the school will help us feel more at ease."
