"I'm not after Zhenzhen's money, I just think—since she's got so much—why doesn't she help us poor relatives out a bit? Besides, it's not like I've actually gotten my hands on it yet, so do you all really need to act like this?" Wang Qiuhe tried to defend herself, but honestly, isn't that just admitting it?
Mei Mengzhen said, "And you call that not being after my money? Help you? How? End of the day, it's just me handing all my cash over. You haven't received the money yet and you're already eyeing it—once you get it, what else is there to covet? You scam the money out of my hands, and you don't need to want it anymore. I already know exactly what kind of faces you'll show me then—been there, done that.
And it's not like I'll stop making money. If I satisfy you once, you'll expect it again, again, and again, no end in sight. You'll always be after my money, and soon you'll feel like it's your birthright. Why? Who the hell do you think you are?"
