After chatting for a while longer, Mei Mengzhen got called downstairs by He Yiran, and when she arrived on the 8th floor, almost all the ladies present greeted her warmly. Mei Mengzhen searched the crowd, and finally found He Yiran after a while. When they met up, He Yiran excitedly said, "Zhenzhen, where did you disappear to? There are so many people here, you should get to know them all! They're our good friends, and potential customers too!"
So basically, He Yiran called her down just to stop her from loafing, and Mei Mengzhen replied, annoyed, "I was with Director An and them, talking about the variety show we'll do in a few days. And why do you sound just like Director An? Do I really look like the kind of person who'd sneak off and slack?"
He Yiran didn't hesitate to nod, clearly convinced that Mei Mengzhen had been hiding out ever since they split up.
