At this moment, Ji Ran really wishes there was already a chicken in the house that had been killed, otherwise he can totally imagine his fate would definitely be worse than the chicken's.
But his wish didn't come true, because in this house... well, there really was nothing at all, which means that chicken still has to be killed.
Before killing the chicken, the four of them had to go buy groceries. After all, if you want to have a meal, you gotta have rice and dishes, so the first thing to buy is definitely rice.
Fan Tianyu said, "I remember there's a grocery store in the village. I think we saw it when we passed by. That shop seems to have everything. Let's go check it out."
Ji Chengnan had an impression of this grocery store too, so he said, "Is that the store that looks like a little convenience shop? I remember seeing rice stacked outside the door. Let's go take a look first."
