When I saw my wife appear on the teleportation platform, I couldn't help but feel very happy. I saw her being accompanied by a beastman whose name I can't remember but I did not dwell on it since it is obvious that only those that are with child can live here.
As expected of my caring wife, she started accompanying me during the night, just hugging me to sleep. It was a timely and great help to me since I started having issues with sleeping after my last month of pregnancy started. With her here, I felt relieved and thus I was able to have the best sleep I ever had for the last few months.
A few days after my wife and I started sharing the bed in the evenings, the day we were waiting for finally arrived. Some time during the wee hours of the morning, I felt a sharp and stabbing pain in my abdomen. It was so painful as if it was spreading to my whole body that I started shivering uncontrollably and having cold sweats.
