All the maids and butlers were ushered out of the room with Caius' cold glare. After all of them left, I found myself seated next to my fiancé while his parents, who looked a bit pale was seated across from us holding hands with each other as if facing a scary enemy. Though he looked pissed about everything, he did not let of go of my hand.
My mother-in-law coughed to break the tension and asked Caius, "You left early yesterday and did not return last night. I thought you will fetch Luna and bring her back here yesterday but you didn't. Where did you even go?"
Caius's eyes widened and he stayed quiet. He then slowly turned his head towards me and our eyes met. His nervous eyes turned into a glare as if telling me, "You explain this!" I chuckled in response at him and I saw him bite his lower lip due to distress.
