At night, on the battlefield located within the war continent, Zodia was running at full speed while dodging gigantic shuriken that flew relentlessly after him. The massive weapons tore through the battlefield as they spun, carving through the land and completely destroying mountains in their path. Above him, Lord Yamamoto hovered in the air, his expression cold as he began creating enormous metal pillars that rained down toward Zodia like falling meteors.
Humongous chunks of metal crashed toward the ground, yet Zodia continued moving at maximum speed, skillfully weaving between them while punching through a countless number of strikes. In one smooth motion, he leapt into the air—only to be met with a swarm of gigantic axes flying directly toward him.
Zodia's eyes narrowed as he observed the pattern.
"So that's it…" he muttered to himself.
"I see now. His ability allows him to create giant metal objects."
As the massive axes closed in, Zodia suddenly accelerated, flying straight toward them at top speed. One after another, he shattered the colossal weapons, breaking through them effortlessly as fragments of metal scattered across the sky.
Suddenly, an energy bomb launched straight from the ground and collided with Zodia, triggering a massive explosion high above the battlefield. The sky lit up violently as shockwaves rippled outward.
When the smoke finally cleared, Zodia emerged on a hill, completely unharmed—not a single scratch on his body.
With slight irritation in his voice, he spoke.
"Haven't you learned your lesson? Your attacks can't work on me."
At that moment, Lady Najenda and Lady Shinra appeared behind him. Without hesitation, they began relentlessly firing energy beams and lightning toward Zodia. The sky and the ground became a storm of flashing light as the attacks bombarded everything in sight.
Zodia took flight once more, weaving through the barrage with ease. He dodged the attacks repeatedly, maintaining this pace for quite some time. Then, in a sudden motion, he reached out and grabbed one of the lightning bolts mid-air.
Using the lightning as a blade, Zodia sliced through the rapid-fire lightning strikes and energy bombs being launched at him by Lady Najenda and Lady Shinra.
They continued attacking without pause, but Lady Najenda's expression slowly twisted into shock.
"We've been fighting this man for hours"… she thought.
"And yet all he's done is avoid our attacks."
Her breathing grew heavy.
"He hasn't even started using any flashy techniques, yet he's easily keeping up with us. He even used a sword to match my lightning…"
Her eyes widened.
"This man… is underestimating us!".
Lady Najenda clenched her fists and began gathering an overwhelming amount of lightning. The battlefield trembled violently as the sheer energy she was accumulating began to tear the surroundings apart. Lightning struck endlessly, obliterating everything nearby.
"Shinra, get back!" Lady Najenda shouted.
"I'm about to do something devastating!"
At full power, with speed faster than light, she unleashed the enormous mass of lightning she had gathered and launched it directly at Zodia. The attack erupted into a catastrophic explosion made entirely of lightning, annihilating a massive portion of the battlefield.
Lord Yamamoto and Lady Shinra stared in disbelief, their mouths hanging open.
Lady Najenda slowly descended to the ground, panting heavily. Lady Shinra rushed toward her, supporting her as she asked "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," Lady Najenda replied, still catching her breath.
"That attack took nearly everything from me… but it should have been enough to take him down."
Lord Yamamoto nodded grimly.
"Even that man, no matter how powerful he is… he should have taken damage."
The smoke slowly cleared from the sky.
Zodia emerged, his left arm visibly burned.
"Well, what do you know," he said calmly.
"You actually managed to damage me."
Before their eyes, Zodia's burned arm regenerated completely.
He looked down at them, his voice cold.
"Well? Any other tricks up your sleeves?"
Then his expression twisted into a cruel smile.
"If not… I'd like to say one thing."
"YOU ALL ARE TRASH!."
The words sent shock through all three of them.
"You're so trash that it saddens me," Zodia continued.
"You're supposed to be the strongest in your respective nations, yet you couldn't deal proper damage to me."
He scoffed.
"It's amazing how many frauds exist in this world. People blessed with power choose to use it for war, killing each other endlessly. And even those who claim to use their power for good aren't strong enough to finish their own tasks, leaving others to clean up after them."
He tilted his head slightly.
"That kind of behavior is exactly what fraudsters do, don't you think?"
"It's overwhelmingly depressing… don't you think?"
As Zodia spoke, Lady Shinra trembled with rage.
"You… just shut up!" she screamed.
Suddenly, an immense surge of energy erupted from her body.
"You disgust me!" she growled, energy shooting out of her eyes.
"I can't believe someone like you exists. It sickens me! Your very existence… is a curse upon this world!", Shinra said with rage as colourful bursts of energy sparked out of her body.
Lady Najenda forced herself to stand and summoned a massive amount of lightning once more.
"I agree," she said firmly.
"Let's erase this existence right here and now."
Lord Yamamoto agreed "I feel the same.", a tramendous amount of pressure surged around him.
Zodia simply smirked.
From a distance, Ukina watched with a grin, covering her mouth as she suppressed her laughter.
"No… I need to hold it in", she thought.
"If I laugh now, it won't be nearly as fun watching Lord Zodia eviscerate them.
"They're all going to die… and they don't even know it."
Lord Yamamoto created a gigantic golem made entirely of metal, its monstrous body possessing over a thousand arms. Lady Shinra infused it with a vast amount of energy, while Lady Najenda fused an overwhelming surge of lightning into it.
The battlefield was consumed by overflowing power as the combined energy of the three lords caused the weather across the entire continent to change violently.
Zodia hovered in the air with his arms folded, completely unimpressed.
The three lords shouted in unison:
"Ultimate Combined Technique: Calamity Buster!"
The golem's eyes glowed crimson as lightning and energy surged through its body. It released a deafening roar before charging toward Zodia. With an overwhelming force, it unleashed a devastating punch.
The impact caused the entire continent to explode, accompanied by a violent thunderstorm that swallowed the sky.
The explosion was so immense that Alex—flying through the wastelands in his new form—froze in shock as he felt the tremor from afar.
"What… was that?" he muttered.
His inner demon replied calmly,
"I don't know. But whatever it was… it must have been powerful."
Back on the battlefield, as the smoke and thunderstorm finally cleared, the three lords lay collapsed on the ground, completely drained.
Lady Najenda spoke weakly.
"Did we… defeat him?"
Lady Shinra nodded slowly.
"No normal person could survive that. Even he must have taken damage."
Then a voice echoed from the sky.
"Yeah… a normal person wouldn't have survived that."
Their blood ran cold.
"But I'm not normal."
The smoke vanished completely.
Zodia hovered in the air—completely unharmed and unfazed.
Lady Shinra, Lord Yamamoto, and Lady Najenda stared in absolute shock.
Zodia looked down on them and spoke one final time.
"I've said it before… and I'll say it again."
"You all are trash."
