[3rd POV]
Very interesting food, it turns out. Lucifer had walked downstairs with the family, and had found what sort of food was sold in the hotel and in most other places around Hell, and it was mostly just human-like food, but the ingredients were very interesting.
They used what were basically hell versions of all their favorite ingredients. Hell potatoes, hell carrots, hell tomatoes, so on so forth. All of them looked pretty similar to their normal counterparts, but glowed slightly with a hellish hue, and had some unique features to them.
Like the fact that the tomatoes seemed to be burning when you picked them. It was all very interesting, and made for some incredible unique foods. Since they were all coated in hells energy, they therefore would affect the body in minuscule ways.
At least, for a normal human. For demons it did nothing, as their physiologies were specifically warped and created to consume it, just like a humans can handle certain foods and reacts differently to them. Without much of a negative effect from most.
Demon food was the same. You had to eat it in great quantities most of the time for it to become an issue. Otherwise it was fine.
Lucifer personally had liked the tomatoes quite a bit, since they had a different taste to normal ones. They almost tasted like a spicy pepper, with that same tomato flavor that she knew so much and liked.
She had a few ideas on how to use it, and decided to add a number of the new fruits and vegetables to the plant dimensions she had, and even added a few of them into her personal universe that was still developing.
She decided she also needed to check in on that in the near future, as she found that the elves she had created had been developing most interestingly. With them having long created a massive religion about the worship of her and her wife.
The dimension was also now developing other species, like humans, beastmen, dwarves, goblins, and even beasts of various designs. She expected them to start warring with one another in the coming future of that dimension, considering how the development of other universes looked.
But she also knew that it was highly unlikely the elves would be losing that war, or even taking part in the first place. Considering they were far and away the most powerful of all the species, with only a recently developed dragon species being close to them.
She liked to check in on them every once in a while, and even blessed a few interesting ones here and there. Including entire species, like the fairies, who were now similar to the elves, and were closely related to one another. The other were spirits, which was magic given form, and could be called upon and summoned to become stronger.
It was basically an entire story of her own creation, just waiting to be explored in the future.
She even thought of the idea of incorporating tropes into the universe in the future, should it get to that level. Like summoning humans from other universes where they would be heroes to fight against a great evil. Or a character that died and failed to defeat some great threat and was reincarnated into the past with some new cheat, or something of the sort.
She thought it sounded fun. To bring forth other reincarnators like in fanfics, but she would need to get stronger in order to accomplish some of them. She figured it would be something she did when she ascended and took her fathers place.
It would serve as good entertainment too.
But that was for the future. At the moment she and her family were walking away from this neat little restaurant they had tried, which used those same hellish ingredients to make all sorts of pizza's, which were very interesting. They were an Italian family in their human life.
They all sounded like mobsters and dressed like them too, so Lucifer had an idea of why they were in hell.
Their food was damn good though.
"They were pretty nice for being residents of hell" Alice commented as they were making their way back to the Hazbin Hotel.
"Mhmm, although I'm pretty sure they were mobsters. I wonder if money laundering is still a thing in hell?" Lucifer asked, getting a giggle out of her wife as well as Powder.
"Money Laundering is a thing in all universes mama" Rose said with a small grin on her face as Lucifer chuckled.
Pretty much every universe with a sentient entity had some form of money laundering that existed.
Too bad not a lot of them had the IRS to get on their ass or anything else that worked in that area.
Glancing to the side, Lucifer noticed a few stares that they were getting. But she just flexed her power a bit and cut off anyone from trying anything. She was enjoying her time out with her family, and was not even remotely interested in dealing with any troublemakers just yet.
Maybe after a good nights rest and relaxing as a family. Oh, and a breakfast.
She was sure that there would be something happening the next morning at the hotel, as there always seemed to be something chaotic going down that was impossible to ignore. Usually involving Alastor, Angel Dust, Charlie, or Sir Pentious.
Although the latter had not joined the hotel just yet, nor had he become friends with any of them. She imagined that he would be appearing quite soon, which could be as soon as later that very same day, or tomorrow. Meaning that they'd be greeted by a very fun sight when it does happen.
She liked Sir Pentious quite a lot, and thought he was a very amusing demon snake thing.
Although that was the case for most of the residents of the hotel, she thought all of them were funny. Although Alastor's arrogance did annoy her a little, he was still a funny little deer human at the same time. But she had found that that was the case for a lot of the demons in the Underworld.
Most of them came off as quite annoying at times, even Charlie. But she understood that that was just the way they were. Plus, all humans did too, it was just a part of who those with sentience and free will were.
"Do you think the Hotel makes breakfast in the morning?" Bloom asked, wondering what they would cook if they did.
"Hmm, I have no clue dear. But I'm sure we can ask and find out. If not I'll find a place nearby that serves something good" Lucifer replied, realizing she had never actually asked about that. It was a good thing to figure out, so she decided to ask later on when they get back.
"Oooh could we try omelets here? I feel like a hell omelet could be good" Powder was the one that asked this as Lucifer chuckled and nodded.
"If that's what you want. But we'll have to see. For now, lets get back. As it's getting late, and I am sure this is around the time when all the annoying folk start to come out" Lucifer said, as her family nodded and kept walking while talking about all sorts of things.
Like what they wanted to do while here, what places looked interesting that they had been passing, and stuff like that.
And as they continued to talk back towards the hotel, Lucifer had only a smile on her face, and one thought on her mind.
'And so ends our first day in hell'
