Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: The strikes

The small locked Tower.

One of the many towers at Hogwarts Castle, but unlike others, this one has never been visited by any students in the thousand-odd years of the school's existence. Only the headmaster or headmistress has ever found themselves inside. Yet, the magical artifacts therein had never been touched by human hands ever since the Founders placed them there upon completion of the Castle.

All the headmasters who went inside used it as a tranquil spot in the hope of catching the magical artifacts in action, which were the Book of Admittance and the Quill of Acceptance.

The Quill of Acceptance, also known as the Magical Quill, was a magical quill at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that detected signs of magic by magical children and wrote their births and names down in a large parchment book.

Just like the Quill, the Book of Admittance was created by the four founders of Hogwarts sometime before the completion of Hogwarts Castle. The book served as a regulatory system, refusing to allow the quill to write in it until sufficient evidence of magical ability was displayed, thus guarding against Squibs being incorrectly admitted.

These two artifacts were behind the invitation of children to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Tonight, the new headmistress, Dolores Umbridge, was standing near the artifacts, her eyes glued in their direction. A week after becoming the head of Hogwarts, she had been coming into the tower, and tonight she got lucky to see the quill in action.

The white feather, most likely made from an Augurey, began to move. The astonishing thing was that the silver ink pot that the feather sat in had no ink inside. But that did not stop the Augurey feather from producing ink when it came in contact with the large parchment book.

The Book of Admittance in black dragon hide remained open and allowed the quill to write the name of the future student to be admitted to Hogwarts.

Dolores watched it till the final moment, and then the feather got back into the pot.

The pink-dressed lady walked closer so that she was able to see the new name written. A feather of her own flew from her dress, and she began registering the name on a piece of paper of her own.

"Finally, I got a Muggle name." It did not take long for Dolores to reach this conclusion, as the name was not from any pureblood or half-blood she knew. "I can finally send this to him."

"Augustus, the masses have converged in great numbers; today, we shall strike. Ensure you fulfill your role." Voldemort leaned against the window, observing the mass of Muggles protesting on the street. Through the hearing artifact that Nicolas Flamel had previously made, Voldemort was able to understand their shout.

"Le peuple uni ne sera jamais vaincu!" "Retraites à 60 ans!"

Voldemort was amused at their situation. The Muggle leader was no more powerful than they, and yet even with such a huge number of Muggles on their side, they couldn't seem to win. For the Muggles, this was a crisis, but this was the perfect opportunity for Voldemort. He was going to use this to make France his playground.

But Voldemort was not just satisfied with this. This protest was going to affect the neighbouring country of France, and the Dark Lord was going to use this to his advantage. As such, he had assigned different Death Eaters to different countries. Voldemort has just instructed Augustus Rookwood, who was in Spain. For Italy and Germany, Lucius Malfoy and Vinda Rosier were positioned, respectively.

The rest of the Death Eaters and the new members who joined in the secret gathering where Dolores Umbridge went were all assigned some tasks. This was the first time since the return of Voldemort that all his followers were going to act at the same time.

Voldemort let his thoughts run through all the events once again before he turned his back to the window and faced the room he was in.

Apart from the Lord himself, there were three Death Eaters who were with him in Paris. The one who has been the most for this grand plan was no other than Barty Crouch Jr. As for running errands through the whole of Europe was Peter Pettigrew.

And the last Death Eater by Voldemort's side was no other than the boy of Prophecy, Harry Potter. His attire completely matched that of Voldemort, who was wearing a dark robe. With his hair growing to shoulder level and dark circles under his eyes, no one could guess that this was the previous hero.

While Voldemort was busy giving orders to the other Death Eaters in other countries, the three Death Eaters aligned themselves with their plan for France. It was also a moment for the other two Death Eaters to train Harry either in combat or in different plans.

Voldemort was going to speak to the three when Nagini, his Horcrux serpent, slithered on the floor and approached his master. In his mouth was a piece of paper that Voldemort bent and picked up.

Seeing the content brought a smile to his face.

Dolores Umbridge>

"What good timing. I was beginning to wonder when that witch Dolores was going to complete this task."

Voldemort took a rare moment to reflect.

He had been planning since his rebirth with the new memories.

His main goal was still the same.

Pureblood supremacy. But with a different path leading to this.

Every move, every decision, had led to this moment, and now the world was at his fingertips. With Albus Dumbledore handing himself to the Ministry, Voldemort could plunge both the Muggle and wizarding communities into more chaos.

"Harry," Voldemort called out, and the boy left everything he was doing and walked to Voldemort and knelt.

"You will be alone in this task, but I have full confidence in your skill."

Harry nodded. "Yes, Master."

The next instant, Harry saw his Lord disappear in front of him.
