After the energy was pulled out of these talismans, they started to burn away as if they had been used.
There were other talismans that came forward to take the place of the ones that were burnt away, but it really didn't seem to make a difference. Even though there were a bunch of talismans that were there, they just didn't move fast enough to fill the place of the ones being burned.
It really seemed like there was going to be a hole in the wall of talismans behind me.
Or that would have happened if not for the fact that I was forced to let go of that wall.
