"Aleezeh!"
She opened her eyes.
Noor was standing beside her.
Aleezeh sat up quickly.
"What happened?"
"You were having a nightmare."
Aleezeh looked around.
She was in her room.
The arrest had been a dream.
She placed a hand over her heart.
"It felt real."
"What was it about?"
Aleezeh shook her head.
"Nothing."
Noor smiled.
"I have good news."
"What?"
"My uncle needs someone to help with graphic design."
Aleezeh looked interested.
"I could do that."
"You can start today."
"Today?"
"Yes."
Aleezeh laughed.
"Your uncle doesn't believe in weekends, does he?"
Noor laughed.
Later, someone knocked on the door.
It was Ahmed.
"What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to ask why you haven't been coming to school."
"My mother passed away."
Ahmed's smile disappeared.
"Oh…"
"It's okay."
"No. It isn't."
He paused.
"And about the video…"
Aleezeh looked at him.
"I removed it from the places where I found it."
"Thank you."
Ahmed nodded.
"I'll leave you alone now."
"Allah Hafiz."
"Allah Hafiz."
Aleezeh returned to her work.
She worked during the day and studied at night.
For the first time since her mother's death, she had a purpose.
She decided to return to school.
The next morning, Noor was shocked to see her.
"You're coming?"
"Yes."
They went together.
Ahmed smiled when he saw her.
"Assalam-o-Alaikum."
"Wa Alaikum Assalam."
"How are you?"
"Better."
"I'm glad."
After school, Aleezeh returned home and worked until evening.
Then someone knocked.
"Hassan."
Aleezeh opened the door.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to keep my promise."
"What promise?"
"Justice."
Aleezeh stepped aside.
"Come in."
Hassan entered.
They sat down.
"What is your plan?"
"First, we find out who really caused your mother's death."
Aleezeh looked at him.
"And then?"
"Then we let the truth speak for itself."
For the first time, Aleezeh smiled.
Maybe revenge wasn't the answer.
Maybe the truth was.
