After hearing the digging sounds moving far away, Anzhi Tianlan stopped. She still remembered the rustling noise in the sewers; there were many things there, and not all were interested in digging. If there were a few with a knack for killing, that would make things complicated.
Continuing forward would lead to the sewer, and compared to those in the sewer, the one digging behind her seemed more gentle. Anzhi Tianlan had no choice but to stop and think about what to do next.
But before she could come to a conclusion, she felt a slight vibration from the wall she was leaning against. Before she could react, the vibration intensified, and the world spun around her. Anzhi Tianlan rolled up and down in the tunnel like on a roller coaster, luckily managing to stabilize herself by grabbing onto a protruding rock.
Once she steadied herself, she saw a blinding light ahead that hurt her eyes.
