What the hell is that thing—could it be some huge, bouncing ball of light? Or a giant wasp nest stuffed full of flashlights?
And since its light can shine through the stairwell entrance into the corridor, that means it's very close—no twists and turns in between—its position is aimed straight at this floor.
Fatty didn't have time to keep wondering whether it was a light ball or a wasp nest; he knew if he didn't run now, in a minute he'd be the one getting turned into a wasp nest.
Fat lives matter! Fat lives matter!
He couldn't care about anything else, turned around, and ran in the opposite direction from where the light was coming.
Luckily he'd gone to school and lived in dorms before; he knew these student dorm buildings always had staircases at both ends of the corridor. Since there was a ghost on this side's staircase, he'd just run to the other staircase and escape from there.
But Fatty had only just turned and run a few steps when he felt something was off.
