Pei Ye glanced around at the arrangement in the hall—two long couches placed at an angle to each other, with a table in-between, covered with wine and snacks. Several swords with traces of water on them rested on the table, each distinct in color and design, though it was unclear who they belonged to.
A total of seven people were seated on the two couches: three women and four men, divided between them. Shang Yun Ning and Zuoqiu Longhua were among them, but the remaining four were unfamiliar to Pei Ye.
A few chairs were sporadically placed around the long couches, with only two of them occupied. Qun Fei was seated, biting an apple, and waved at him with a smile.
