Thus, while Sect or family Cultivators may have individuals who focus solely on Cultivation with pure heart and mind, such people are rare among Rogue Cultivators, especially high-class ones.
Truly benevolent individuals rarely make it to Golden Core or Nascent Soul and are often eliminated early on by the harsh environment.
The remainder are largely ruthless, decisive people, with little moral restraint.
When the granaries are full, people know etiquette; when clothes and food are sufficient, they understand honor and shame.
