Jiang Wang paused for a moment, then said, "I'm talking about cherishing! Do you understand what that means?"
He turned to look sideways, speaking with an air of experience, "Young people these days, they're so unsettled. The world changes so fast, and many engagements fall apart before they lead to marriage. How can one claim to be steadfast in love? Only when you've properly married, and taken on the titles of husband and wife, can you say you've truly cherished it. Do you understand?"
Zuo Guangshu pondered for a moment, then asked, "Do you really understand?"
Lord Jiang was momentarily at a loss for words.
