The car ride back home was terrifyingly silent. Quiet music played through the radio, yet neither seemed particularly interested in breaking it.
Bojing's hands were clasped tightly over his lap.
Yuming glanced at him from the corner of her eye.
"You have been unusually quiet."
He immediately stiffened. "W-What?"
"You have talked more when you were with Miss. Song and Yang Mingshen. But it's only around me that you feel really uncomfortable."
"N-No, I don't…"
"You do."
He lowered his gaze. The awkwardness from the planetarium hadn't disappeared. If anything, it had followed them right into the car and settled between them like an invisible wall.
"You definitely didn't like me tagging along."
"It's no-not like that…"
"Then what is it?" From the corner of his eye, he watched her fingers tighten around her fist. "Don't worry. I will tell Aunt Bingqing and sort it out with her. If you are not happy, she won't be happy either. And I cannot see her not being happy…"
