Adam sat in the same spot for a long time.
The joy of countering the corruption and nourishing his body was overshadowed by the results of his divination.
He kept thinking over and over again: eyes, tendrils, gates, and the river… what do they all mean?
Especially the mysterious river.
Of all the memories he had absorbed, not a single one of them included the existence of the river that flowed backward.
He had learned about the River of Fate and even had the privilege of interacting with it once. In fact, he had even learned of the elusive River of Time from the memories of the experts.
But the river that flowed backward? He had no idea about it whatsoever.
Adam believed that he was quite knowledgeable for someone of his station. This confidence stemmed from the fact that he had absorbed a great deal of memories from the experts of the Greater Universe.
Yet, he knew nothing about this strange river that flowed backward into the past. Nor did he know anything about the Beyond.
