Venia raised her hand slightly.
The dreamscape around them rippled, and a new scene slowly formed within it.
Images from Endi's memory appeared one after another… the broken citadel, the ruined hall, the human, and the gray cat.
As the princess's gaze settled on the little cat, she asked in a calm voice, "Is that him?"
"Yes, your highness." Endi nodded respectfully.
He hesitated for a brief moment before adding, "The human has named the prince… Valerian."
Venia did not react.
It was unknown what she truly thought of the name, or if she even thought at all about the act that a human had given a name to someone of royal blood from the Somnia Clan.
She continued to watch Endi's memory unfold in silence.
The dilapidated hall appeared before her. She saw the human youth step forward and challenge Zagho to a duel, despite the obvious difference in power between them.
