The thought echoed persistently in Rekan's mind as he and the shadowkins gave chase to the Dark King.
He was sure that one of his daggers had pierced through the human's heart. Yet Adam proved to be tenacious enough to keep moving despite the grievous injury, and even slip their pursuit.
Just what kind of enemy was he dealing with? He couldn't help but wonder…
He passed by the spot where Adam had just been standing, the place where he had viciously removed the daggers embedded in his chest.
Rekan saw the human's blood pooled on the broken cobbled street. The blood remained there. Motionless. Noticing that, he couldn't help but frown. Something felt odd, but he just couldn't put a finger on it.
ROAR!
The sound of the Shadow's screech pierced his eardrums, causing him to grimace slightly.
