Chapter 1864 - The Veiled Woman

Genevieve stepped out of the lecture hall and into the sprawling grounds of the Sapphire Tower.

The campus was beautiful as always. Stone pathways wound between green lawns and carefully tended flower gardens. Elegant lecture halls stood beside towering libraries and buildings.

Ancient trees cast cool shadows over courtyards where students gathered to study, debate, or simply enjoy the pleasant afternoon.

As she walked toward her residence building, she was greeted at every turn. And she returned each greeting with a pleasant smile and a polite word or two.

Some were fellow students. Others were junior Apprentices who admired her. A few were professors who knew her by name.

Genevieve was simply that kind of person.

She was approachable and genuinely kind. She had spent years building friendships and acquaintances throughout the academy. It seemed that nearly everyone she passed knew her, and she somehow remembered all of them in return.
