Isabella spent the last week in trepidation.
Not only had no one entered the building and fallen for her trap, but the invisible monster lurking in the cellar hadn't made itself known again.
The creature had not made a single move. And that frightened Isabella more than anything.
Had the invisible monster come out of the cellar to look for food, or to just look around in general, then perhaps she might have an idea as to what kind of enemy she was facing.
But the fact that the monster hadn't even moved made her think up all kinds of scenarios.
What if it moved and I didn't notice?
What if it has already claimed this building as its own territory?
What if it's watching me?
What if it's already inside my bedroom?
What if it's… behind me?
With a sharp cry, she turned around and scanned her bedroom.
It was empty.
She began pacing back and forth, clearly aware that she had been overthinking for the past seven days, and that her imagination was the cause of her suffering.
