"Are you a masochist?"
Luca sat with his back against the wall, casually tearing off a piece of roasted meat from the bone.
Across the hall sat Adam and Valerian, a little distance in between.
The little fellow perked up. He looked at Luca and asked innocently, "What is a masochist?"
"Erm…" The Lone Wolf suddenly felt a little awkward.
By all signs, Valerian behaved like a child despite his ferocious panther transformation. So then, would it be okay for him to explain to a child what a masochist truly meant?
He cleared his throat and said, "It's someone who enjoys pain."
Valerian blinked. Then he vigorously nodded. "Yes! Brother is that! He's always hurting. I think he likes it!"
Adam gently shoved the little fellow's head into the food laid before him. "Shut up and eat."
"Grr!" Valerian turned to Adam, displaying faux annoyance. But he found that monster meat tasted very good, so he quickly shifted his attention back to the food.
