The battlefield was silent when Sasha arrived.
The Dark Elf who had guided her bowed low, waiting for acknowledgment, but she ignored him completely.
"Mhmm… So this is the place."
Her crimson eyes swept across the charred ground… There were broken corpses of wyverns, trolls, and salamanders scattered like discarded toys.
The air still carried the faint scent of blood and ash… There were also those remnants of powerful magic unleashed earlier.
She stepped lightly across the ruined slope, her human form radiating heat.
The spectral traces of centaurs lingered faintly, their hoofprints burned into the soil.
Sasha crouched, brushing her fingers across the ash. "This is quite an interesting battle…" she murmured. "Two elves slain… an army gets destroyed… And yet, they only faced three or two human mages..."
The Dark Elf dared to speak. "My lady, the shelter nearby—"
Sasha raised a hand, silencing him.
