The aching of my back woke me up with a groan " ouch." Beside the numbing pain forcing me awake there was a softness soothing it
" this is nice though." My eyes shot open when I gently stroked the softness cloaking me an heard a moan
I instantly made eye contact with alaine as she stood coming towards me
My heart began to race when her face stopped in front of mine inches away from each other ' damnit' I hated how her beauty was able to lull me in making me lose myself to her
But she wasn't just before our lips met i looked past her and saw the dress was nearly complete
"No..no..no what did you do!" I pushed past her moving towards the dress
" I dont understand? Did I mess up somewhere." Alaine's attitude quickly changed as her ears went flat and her tails quickly came back to her
" that's not the problem, didn't I tell i wanted to make the dress that it was supposed to be a thing from me to her if I wanted someone else to do it i would just have let Leon make it!"
Pacing around the room I wanted to curse and yell, hell even destroy it and restart but when I saw alaine damn near crying from the corner of my eye I took a deep breath to calm down
" im sorry alaine I know you just wanted to make me happy....I just haven't had the best day sighing i sat back down
" are you ok?" Smiling up at her i nodded
" yeah, now that im back." She must have felt something was wrong because she leaned down taking me into her embrace
" welcome home love." This was all it took to break through the veil I tried holding up
Wrapping my arms around her a little harder then I meant to an pulling her closer her my eyes began to tear up nesting myself into her neck
" what happened?" She was obviously curious what caused me to act like this but it wasn't ready to explain it to her yet
" life." She let me lean on her until I got myself under control again

" its fine im happy to be the person to comfort you." Smiling as I let out a breath I stood up walking over to the dress

Many hours and needle pokes later the dress finished taking form and thanks to our elements something that would have taken weeks to complete was done in hours
" will the sigils and runes work?" Shrugging at her question I looked over the dress one more time
" we won't know until she put its on an runs her mana through it but i believe we connected everything correctly ive looked over it and the diagram dozens of times."
Satisfied I smiled and hugged her " thank you i wouldn't have gotten it done this fast without-." I was cut of as both our stomach growled
Blushing we moved away from each other
" ill make you something if you come to the shop." Agreeing to her suggestions we teleported to her dinner
A line of people were waiting for her to appear " wha?"
She was surprised to see the amount of people waiting for her dinner to open she knew her place was popular

" I thought the weren't together anymore!" Some people in the crowd got upset and left some stayed however Grumbling to themselves that at least the food was good
Taking alaine's hand i gently lead her inside so she didn't get caught up in the voices from the crowd
Moving to the kitchen and past a couple of her workers that have been waiting for her I helped her make food for the two of us
" why didn't those two make anything." I asked as I was mixing some eggs together
" they dont know how to cook and they are to young." Looking over at her two servers i saw they looked to be about fourteen
' I wouldn't say they are to young but whatever.'
We both continued in silence until she spoke up nearly making me cut myself with her question " are they right are we officially together now you cant keep pretending what happened when you woke up didn't."
Signing I finished cutting up what was in front of me an moved it over to her " have you even tried looking for another."
" I have and only make me want you more." She sounded even more certain then last time we talked

Her and Elise were right i had no right to decide what they were willing to put up with in our relationship

Stopping what she was doing looking at while her eyes welled up, I thought it was because of what I said but I was wrong

After eating and thanking alaine I carefully folded the dress we had just made not forgetting to grab the pearl and teleported to Elise
When I appeared in her office she was alone which was odd but what made it even more weird was that she was scrambling hide something
" dont,look turn around or close your eyes." I did what she asked doing both
" what is that about?"
" I got word you were with alaine I didn't think I would see you tell tonight."
" that doesn't answer my question and I don't know why you think I would wait so long to see my wife I've already had to wait long enough." A little aggravated now I turned and opened my eyes only to be meet with her beautiful eyes and her lips meeting mine
We attacked each other for a few minutes before separating " I missed you too an please trust me you cant know anything about what im working on or it will defeat its purpose."
Nodding to her request she turned her attention to the box In my hands" what is this?"
Smiling as I put the box down " i have a present for you I've been working on it for a while...with the help of alaine."
" oh so that's what you two were sneaking off to do." In not surprised she knew i was trying to hide something
" try it on let me know if there is any discomfort." I pulled out a plain looking white dress an handed it to her
She looked at it confused then me squinting her eyes before finally Shrugging and putting it on
" wow this feels amazing what fabric is this."
" ancient spider silk,now swallow this." I handed the pearl to he as she stares at me
Sighing she put it in her mouth and swallowed going back to staring at me with her hands on her hips
" what the next weird thing you want me to do?" Tapping my chin it was my turn to be confused
" no that was it." I was about to think i got the sigils or a couple runes wrong when a pale blue light began spreading across Elise's body starting from her stomach
The door to her office opened at that moment allow the prince of the merman to enter
" I found the replica now we ca-" he stopped dead in his tracks seeing her even dropping what he was holding
" how?" Rushing over he checked her
" she needs to get to the ocean now!"
" what are you talking about?, why are you even here." Reaching out to stop me Elise's arm began to seize quickly followed by her body
Shutting up i grabbed her an teleported next to the docks as soon as she touched the water Elise was ripped from my as she sunk and shot out to see
I chased after her even when a water tornado rose into the air with her at it's center
Teleporting to shore if used gravity to keep ships and people from getting pulled into the vortex I quickly got help from other people with elements that could help
" Somethings large is rising out of the water" Lazza's voice entered my ears through the earpiece
a gigantic serpent like creature, with pairs of fins lining its body rose out of the water twisting with the vortex
" is that the same thing I saw?" Screaming brought me back to myself people were now stranded along with the ships now that most of the water has been pulled into the tornado
Soldiers nearby by rushed into help the people out before the ocean came rushing back James and kal were among them giving orders
While they delt with the people I handled the ships keeping afloat in the air out of danger
" what did I give to her."the prince standing nearby trying to help answered me
"Something that should have stayed where it was i have no idea how you acquired a relic of my people but, you'll be luck if she doesn't die. only eight in my races history have been able to contain its power,pray she is the ninth. "
My body jolted at the thought of losing her to my own stupidity....again but I knew she would be ok if there is one thing I've learned she is strong I'll just keep everyone safe until she's done
People were scared for a while and only thanks to the prince and my soldiers really did things manage to calm down
I guess people didn't like the giant monster circling a water tornado being near were they live

It took longer then I expected for the tornado to calming started to get worried after the first day
but halfway through the second it finally broke calmly returning the water to where it was an revealing a goddess walking across it's surface towards the shore where I've been waiting this whole time
A gentle wave followed like thr ocean was just in chaos moments ago

" but I do love the dress thank you my love. " water now ran down the white dress like a gent waterfall forming gorgeous designs before ending in a cute skirt
" that's not all grabbing her arm I spun her around like we where dancing and her dress froze over growing longer losing a bit of the designs but in exchange the dress now gave off a more regal and formal appearance
She gasped not at just seeing the dress change but feeling it too
I talked to her for a few minutes mainly to make sure the giant sea serpent wouldn't attack anything since they seemed linked now then grabbing her hand i took her to doc to make sure everything was alright
