After descending into what should have been the basement, a massive area came into view. The ceiling and walls were grey, while the floor was a pure, spotless white. The light brightening the entire space came from small yellow spheres placed in the four corners, illuminating the whole room.
'Huh, I should've guessed there would be a place like this,' Edward thought, watching Valencia turn toward him. She quickly scooped Nindia up.
'Huh? What? What is this girl doing?' thought Nindia, completely paralyzed as Valencia carried her over to the right corner of the room.
"Little one, this is going to be way too dangerous for you, so stay here, okay? Your master and I are going to play a little bit," Valencia said, placing her on the ground with the utmost care. She gave her head one last pat, but then her hand gave a slight tremble. Her eyes snapped open, and she pulled Nindia right back into her arms, squeezing her tight against her chest and face.
