For the next week, Liu Shu focused with her main consciousness on the general matters, while leaving enough of her perception to experience life with her Avatar. This week, she spent the entire week at home.
Liu Shu was eager to walk around, but she was even more eager to spend time with her children. So, she chose to accompany them to their workplaces, houses, etc.
Most of the Alraunes didn't really participate in complicated professions, as most of them took some type of crafting and delved into it.
Being Liu Shu's children, they had strong combat talents. However, they were not top-notch. Only the Sanguine Blazes and some of the Sylphaiths that decided to take up arms developed strongly in that regard.
Today was the 8th day since she arrived, and she would accompany Eluan to his workplace. Eluan, being her eldest son, was already 98 years old!
At home, he had two wives: one human and the other a catkin. When Liu Shu arrived, these two women were naturally nervous. They had been married to Eluan for a few decades, and they had even talked with Liu Shu in the past. Still, having the Avatar of their mother-in-law come to their home was quite nerve-wracking but also quite exciting.
"Mother-in-law, come in. Today, we've prepared some local dishes for you to taste."
Looking at the human female, she smiled. "No need to be nervous, Carla. Haven't we spoken in the past?"
At the side, a cute and short catkin with a charming, mature face laughed. "You can't imagine, mother-in-law. Yesterday, Carla basically cleaned every single corner until it was spotless. I swear that even if you licked the floor, it would be perfectly acceptable with her level of cleaning."
Carla blushed a bit and looked reproachfully at the catkin. "Narya! Didn't I ask you not to say anything?"
Narya smirked. "Silly girl, aren't I trying to get you some points? Accept my help graciously!"
Liu Shu laughed and walked inside. The place they lived was not too big, but it was absolutely not small. Liu Shu's Lignified Houses had developed, and even the smallest flats in Golden Sap City were over 100 square meters. Eluan's house was more than double that, making it spacious, homely, and comfortable, even for the family of 9.
While they were walking with Liu Shu and guiding her toward the living room, Liu Shu heard a shout from behind. "Mom, I am going to the seventh plaza to meet with some friends."
Carla looked back a bit sternly. "You are going nowhere! Go call your siblings and tell them all to come to the living room right away!"
"Ha?" A catkin with some plant features walked out of the kitchen with a frown. "What's so urgent that I… need…" The girl's words got tangled in her throat, her gaze locking onto the petite, curvy, and beautiful woman standing by her mother's side. "G-Grandma!?"
Liu Shu chuckled. "You can go. Don't worry, little Carly. I won't spend time here for too long either way."
Carly's lips twitched. 'Leave? If I dare leave, when I return, I might be unable to sit for a week straight!'
So, she coughed and smiled. "Don't worry, Grandma. I will go get the others soon to say hello! Even if they are in the middle of an online game, I'll drag them out for you!"
Liu Shu saw the agile girl jump away and chuckled. "So active."
Narya sighed. "Too active. Sometimes I worry about that girl a bit. She is too much of a free spirit."
Carla commented. "As long as she is not with bad company, nothing should go wrong. Even if she stumbles, it will be a good life lesson."
Narya naturally knew. They have raised six children, so they knew about it quite a lot."
While they sat on the couch, the other children in the house were quickly dragged away by Carly. A rather young boy was complaining. "Hey, why are you dragging me? I will be killed, and my team will lose, you stupid Carly!"
"Team? What team do you want to play with!? Come to the living room first!"
The human boy speaking wanted to continue complaining. However, when he saw Liu Shu sitting there and eating some snacks Carla and Narya cooked, all his complaints were choked down.
Seeing the boy's identical reaction compared to that of Carly, Liu Shu almost couldn't hold back her laughter. 'No need for a genetic test. They are made from the same mold, haha.'
The boy quickly changed his expression, showing his best smile. "Grandma! I didn't know you were here…" Inside, though, he really wanted to elbow his big sister.
'Why didn't she tell me?'
Carly was smiling, but inwardly sneering. 'I got embarrassed, so naturally, someone needs to accompany me in this embarrassment. Sorry, Little Brother.'
For the next twenty minutes, Liu Shu spent time with Eluan's family. After that time, Eluan opened the door and spoke loudly. "I am back!"
Narya stood up to welcome him while speaking to him reproachfully. "Your mother is already here. What took you so long?"
Eluan sighed, handing his coat Narya while his flower lower half walked inside. "A colleague stopped me. I'll explain in a bit. Let me welcome Mom first."
Narya nodded, and after receiving a kiss, they went inside.
Liu Shu, seeing her eldest son, smiled happily and patted her lap. "Come, baby! It has been a while since I saw you."
Eluan's lips twitched. "Mom, I am a bit too big to sit on your lap. How about I sit by your side?"
Liu Shu pouted, but she then sighed. "Alright, alright. My son is now grown up and doesn't love Mommy. I understand."
Eluan noticed the teasing gazes of his children and wives, and he almost couldn't hold back the embarrassment. Still, Liu Shu once shouted across her entire domain about her love for her children, so he could only thicken his face and sit by Liu Shu's side.
Liu Shu hugged his arm and smiled. "So, tell Mommy. How are you doing lately? Will we go to the place you work?"
Eluan shook his head apologetically. "Sorry, Mom. We can't. As you know, I work in a woodcraft equipment repair shop. However, the boss had some problems and needed to close down the place."
This was somewhat surprising. "What happened?"
Eluan commented, unaware of the details. "It seemed that his daughter got into trouble or something. She provoked someone with quite a few connections, and therefore went to apologize."
Liu Shu's brows immediately furrowed, a touch of coldness flashing in her amethyst-colored eyes. "Connections? So what if they have connections? Are they better than others?"
Everyone in the room stiffened a bit, feeling an invisible pressure from Liu Shu's body. Then, they saw Liu Shu look in a certain direction, her gaze piercing through everything.
Soon, she noticed the situation. There was a young 19-year-old boy sneering and looking at a woman. This boy was a human boy. "Now you know? You dare not accept my courtship, don't you know that my father is someone working in the government? One word from him, and you won't be able to apply to any job!"
The woman's face was slightly flushed in indignation, but at that moment, a terrifying pressure descended in place.
Liu Shu's Avatar spoke together with her real voice, transmitting her words regardless of distance. "Working where? How dare someone who works in my government use their position to suppress others? Death is too light for people of your kind!"
So, instead of killing them, Liu Shu quickly expanded her senses and absorbed information. The next second, all her buffs were stripped away from the boy, his father, and everyone who had acted similarly!
The sudden loss of buffs made them feel as if they had been hollowed out, their minds becoming extremely dazed as their thoughts couldn't even move at a tenth of how they originally moved.
Then, she looked for Flor. "Flor, tighten up. There are some people using their positions to suppress others. I know it's difficult to control everyone. However, don't let things spread."
Flor was somewhat surprised and asked for the details. After hearing Liu Shu's words, her eyebrows immediately furrowed, and she began calling hundreds of people with a touch of anger.
What a joke! Not even the children of the True World Tree use their position to bully others. Who the hell do others think they are?
After recovering her gaze, Liu Shu's imposing and regal look softened again, and she regained her gentle, smiling appearance. Looking up at Eluan, she grinned, her white teeth showing cutely. "Done! Thank you, baby. I didn't know that some people were starting to go astray even when I controlled those at the top so tightly."
Carly and the others: 'Holy Crap! Holy Crap! Holy Crap! Grandma is so cool!'
Eluan blinked and smiled. "Then, I am glad. If I ever see something similar, I'll report it."
Liu Shu humphed. "You are my baby. What are you reporting? Just call Mommy, and I'll deal with everything with propriety." She added teasingly. "Also, don't you dare abuse my authority, or I'll punish you with a month without buffs!"
Eluan felt cold sweat falling on his back. 'A month without buffs? You might as well cripple me!'
Carly spoke, her eyes shining. "Grandma! If I find something similar, can I tell you as well?"
Carla frowned. "Carly, don't be rude to your grandmother."
Liu Shu smiled. "Don't worry, Carla. It is okay." Then, she nodded. "If any of you see an injustice occurring, you can give me a call." She squinted. "Still, if I ever hear of you abusing this little right I've given you, you forget about a month! You will go an entire year without buffs!"
Carly and the others, having lived their entire lives with Liu Shu's buffs, didn't really understand the significance of it. So, out of pure curiosity, the online gaming boy asked. "Grandma, can you strip away your buffs for us to feel?"
Liu Shu blinked and smiled. "Sure."
Then, a long string of lines appeared in their sight.

Instantly, all the children in the room felt their bodies become incomparably sluggish, as if they had chains tying down their limbs and even minds. Carly blurted. "Branches above! Even my thoughts feel fuzzy. This is too uncomfortable…"
The boy quickly blurted. "G-Grandma, quickly, return them. Ugh, I am about to re-taste my breakfast. I'm so dizzy…"
Liu Shu blinked and waved her hand, returning all her buffs to them. This made them breathe normally again.
Still, Liu Shu frowned a bit. 'That severe?'
She, of course, knew how thorough and comprehensive her buffs were. However, she had not realized that children would be so affected when they lost her buffs!
'This needs to be reviewed.'
Liu Shu was glad she had made this discovery relatively early in her rule. Otherwise, she could see future armies only being able to fight within her domain, but not outside of it!
Eluan noticed Liu Shu's thoughtful look and asked, worried. "Is everything okay, Mom?"
Liu Shu blinked and smiled. "Yes. Don't worry, baby." Then, she recalled something. "Right, I got you a gift!" She twisted the space above the table, and a large wooden jug thumped on it. "I had some advancements lately, so my breastmilk should help you get some extra
Everyone in the room, besides the happily smiling Liu Shu, felt incredibly embarrassed. Eluan felt as if he had lost something precious right at that moment.
