Alexis obviously was not happy.
She was not happy at all.
Not one bit of happiness was on that face.
Honestly, with how red her face was as she glared at everyone in the room, I was surprised her somewhat pretty head hadn't popped right off her neck in some spectacular fashion.
"Stupid midgets and… " Her gaze turned away from my mini-master and made contact with the one eye of the bartender who merely raised her perfectly managed brow. Strangely I noticed her chosing not to throw an insult at the woman as she begrudgingly looked away from her.
May or may not have had something to do with the now recovered dozen or so knightess' in full plate armour who were patiently staring at them. They were radiating bloodlust or anything - far too highly trained to release something like that. But just having them staring at her…
Well I may be giving her too much credit.
She wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed so I could hardly imagine why she may have decided it was not worth picking a fight with the club's owner.
It seemed that the woman herself was far more curious than me as she moved her gloved elbow to rest upon the counter as her hand supported her tilted head. That one visible eye felt like it would be able to pierce through those weird scales of the True God. "Please, do go on, what am I?"
That emotionless drawl made her seem more disinterested than her actions did; something that made her seem all the more sexy in my extremely well educated opinion!
"S-stupid?" Was all Alexis could let slip out her mouth which was far cry from her usual colourful language.
"If you are quite done having a strop because a grown up told you what to do, we can get some actual training in while the grownups talk, I'm sure you'll be very thankful~!" Said goddess clapped her hands together to get our attention. Though maybe that wasn't all that that clap did as the world distorted.
The darkness of the room wobbled in and out like ripples on a moonlit lake, gradually growing in intensity with each repetition, until the shadows consumed all. Yet the darkness never retreated after having devoured everything around them. Leaving them with only each other until her tutor spoke up.
"I really think that grandeur is what makes everything fun~." That caused the always grouchy Alexis to audibly click her tongue in annoyance.
She really doesn't have the "fear of god" inside her (making me wonder if her spirit animal was a honey badger) as she actually continued on. "Sounds like you're just pretentiously wasting my time!"
That stupid girl seemingly did not remember that we were at the mercy of that "pretentious" god due to being in a space completely under her control. As such I gave her the most bombastic side eye that the world had ever seen as I spoke up. "We really need to discuss TPO with you again."
"The fuck is TPO little strawberry." So she said with the amount of mocking that only a sibling could ever sufficiently achieve with such unbridled ease.
Not to mention the obvious focus on the word little…
I was a far more propper woman than my petulant little sister who only knew how to resolve problems with violence and crude language. So I merely smiled at her with all the warmth that I could provide for my lovely little sibling. "You'll learn from mama that it means time, place and occasion."
It appeared that she may not fear the second Mother of the mortal realms - The Infinite Mother - but she had the sense to fear our own mother. Her cold smugness thaws into a fearful heat. Ironically leading to a shiver traveling throughout her entire being in that moment.
Fortunately the goddess she decided to pick a fight with was possibly the most aberrant deity since the start of all existence.
"Yohohoho~ it sure is great that you are so lively as you~'ll ne~ed i~t~!" Her voice echoed throughout the otherwise featureless realm bringing with it a sense of foreboding that I previously chose to always consciously ignore. This wasn't just the voice of a cute little girl playing pirate.
It was the voice of the god who was so powerful she once ruled everything.
So strong that even reality bent the knee and allowed her to decide what was actually true as well as what was a mere momentary illusion.
Though the startling shadow finally had a change occur as a massive sun appeared from above to wash away any fridgeness that remained. It was a strange encouraging warmth that I felt in every inch of my spirit and mind. It illuminated the fact that an ocean of vigor filled jade green was above while below…
Was a spiteful pair of blue flames that were trying to escape from the earth but were kept pinned down by the glory that sun represented. This strange balance was oddly reassuring. "My desire is for the two of you to be like this sun; a thunderous presence that none can ignore~!"
At those words a figure began to form.
However, unlike what one may have assumed, the only similarity this silhouette had to the goddess was they both didn't disappoint with their "womanly" assets.
Being a truly towering six foot nine (making her even taller than my nun-cum-teaching assistant) that wasn't helped by her outfit of choice being mostly the lack of one. The only "main" article of clothing she wore was some kind of puffy zip up hoodie. Unzipped enough to let her voluptuous chest breath though.
Around both her hands were wraps of what looked like gauze - done plentifully so that they even trailed behind her a little. Chains even fell from her wrists & ankles to make her seem like an escaped prisoner who likely took the wall she'd been chained to with her. Wild unkempt hair is not helping.
Most of the colours (due to the nature of the place we're in) were washed away yet the chains glowed a familiar green to the ocean that made up the ceiling.
That wild hair came down in a fringe that hid her eyes but didn't hide her nose which had a bandaid over the top nor did it hide her plump lips. Lips that curled up in a slovenly yet battle starved smirk as she began to move… In motions reminiscent of some kind of drunk dance?
She never stopped moving but other than her size… I wouldn't call it intimidating due to the nature of her movements being very telling that she had a bit too many. Her feet stumbling about while her hands never stopped swinging about in slow smooth movements like she was trying to stop herself from falling.
At least one would need to be careful around her since she appeared to be some kind of dragon, with her horns showing, which meant she'd at least be superhumanly strong.
At least that was my thoughts…
"Drunken martial art…" Was what I heard being mumbled in shock beside me; making me turn to my martial inclined sister who looked on with sparkles in her eyes which caused me to unconsciously let out my one opinion. "What the hell are you on about?"
Although my words broke her out of the trance she was in, she didn't seem very thankful, turning to glare at me as if I just said something stupid.
Flailing her hands towards the inebriated dragon girl as if showing me that looneys waving hands would somehow make her shock make sense. Seeing that I clearly did not understand her; the cheeky girl rolled her eyes with a long sigh. "Suppose you wouldn't know the first thing about martial arts."
How I wanted to hit her… But I felt like she'd be able to return the favour.
"Martial arts can be summarised as an overblown game of rock paper scissors where you change your techniques and stances to counter your opponents. So which martial art technique do you think is the best one in all situations?" Asking while pointing her nose up in the air as if she was trying to sniff God's ass.
Her question was also stupid as it was obviously a trick question; hell everyone knew questions like these were always tricks. You'd answer one thing and they'll either call you stupid or tell you that your thoughts are interesting but wrong. "Obviously there isn't one as no one technique can do everything."
Though she still snorted at me.
"Wrong, or at least you are now, you wouldn't have been if the drunken technique did not exist or no one was able to use it… It's a technique that involves constantly shifting between stances." Puffing her chest out as if she was the one showcasing such mastery over martial arts.
I couldn't help taking another look at the drunk dragon to see if I could see through it while that annoying sister of mine continued to yap. "Though since it involves switching between an endless assortment of other techniques it requires skill, talent as well as superhuman stamina. It's not easy to keep it up.
In fact the stamina drain is such that most people can't even begin to use it as it just is way too costly to use for any amount of time. Even I couldn't get enough mastery to use it so everyone thought it as just some theoretically powerful martial art. Though this girl seems to have mastered it beyond even theoretically possible from how she is handling it…"
Damn… She actually admitted to being worse than someone for once?
"I'm quite proud you think so highly of my first born accomplishments as it will make forcing you to fight her clone way easier~!" That voice brought both of us out of our thoughts. Horror formed on Alexis' face for a moment until something seemed to had clicked resulting in a thirst being born in her next expression.
"How is it fair to put us up against a monster you personally gave birth to…" I asked my very polite and frankly reasonable question much to the amusement of the mother of monsters herself. "Yohohoho~ this is her from a few hundred years back with a level matching yours so it shouldn't be to~o bad I think~!"
Joy.
"Plus what better way to teach you all about how to deal with martial artists than the strongest martial artist I know that isn't currently rotting in hell!" That exclamation annoyed me on so many levels.
