Chapter 395: Paint It!
The sudden doorbell was like a bucket of cold water over Luke, but it also brought him back to his senses.
Looking down at Edelweiss, whose eyes were glazed and mind clearly adrift, Luke sighed in resignation and reluctantly released the beautiful leg he'd been caressing.
Glancing at the clock, Luke frowned slightly.
They had returned at around six after dinner, spent nearly two hours bathing, then passed another four hours together.
It was already close to midnight. Who would come knocking at this hour?
Ding-dong—!
Perhaps because no one opened the door, the person outside rang the bell again.
With no other choice, Luke put on the bathrobe he had worn after bathing and prepared to answer it.
Edelweiss remained on the bed. It could not be seen from the doorway, and Luke had no intention of letting anyone enter this late.
After all, he still wanted to spend the rest of the night with her.
Wondering how he should punish whoever had interrupted them, Luke opened the door.
"Who is it this late—"
"Good evening. I came to paint your figure portrait, as promised."
"…"
Her dazzling blond hair was messy from neglect, with several streaks of paint caught between the strands.
Looking at the apron she wore, Luke immediately remembered her name.
Standing outside was Sara Bloodlily of Akatsuki Academy.
Bang—!
Luke's response was decisive.
Without saying another word, he shut the door and locked it again.
As he turned and walked back, he placed a soundproof barrier over the doorbell with Seisenjutsu.
He had thought someone had come because of an emergency, but it was merely this impossible-to-communicate artist.
'Wait… when did I ever promise to let her paint me?'
Completely confused, Luke returned to the bed, shook Sara from his mind, and tossed aside his bathrobe.
Edelweiss was now in a state of dazed delirium; each wave of pleasure surged anew just before the previous one subsided.
The continuous waves of bliss and pleasure... she was already on the verge of losing consciousness.
Although she had become docile and powerless to resist, Luke would have to set up the "performance art" all by himself.
So, the first thing Luke did when he returned, intending to continue, was to arrange her properly when—
Click—!
The sound of a doorknob turning suddenly came from the wall.
Sara pushed it open from the other side and walked straight through.
That was right.
As though opening an ordinary door, she had attached a handle to the wall and opened it.
"Excuse me."
Sara calmly entered the room.
This method was common for her. Before her ability, a mere wall could never block her path.
She had knocked earlier partly out of courtesy and partly to confirm that Luke was truly inside.
Once she knew he was there, she had countless ways to enter easily.
Then she froze at the unexpected scene before her.
Luke stared at Sara in complete disbelief, while Sara looked past him toward Edelweiss resting on the bed.
The atmosphere immediately fell silent.
Time passed little by little.
Luke looked at Sara, Sara looked between the two of them, and Edelweiss remained too exhausted to notice anything.
Luke had already prepared to restrain Sara instantly.
The only reason he did not move was because he was still dressed only in a bathrobe.
Running around like that would be inconvenient and hardly dignified.
If possible, Luke hoped the artist would understand the situation and quietly leave.
Otherwise, even if it was awkward, he would rush forward and restrain her.
If Sara withdrew silently, Luke could pretend nothing had happened and continue caring for Edelweiss.
However, unlike Luke's calm reaction, Sara's thoughts had fallen into complete disorder.
As a member of Rebellion and an artist immersed entirely in her work, Sara lacked plenty of common sense.
That did not mean she was stupid.
She quickly formed her own understanding of the situation.
A man and a woman, completely naked, and the woman was none other than Lady Edelweiss herself.
Boyfriend and girlfriend?
Impossible. How could Lady Edelweiss ever have a boyfriend... No, it should be: who could possibly catch the eye of "Twin Wings"?
So...
Sara's thoughts raced as she took in the scene.
Edelweiss lay limp on the bed, her eyes vacant. The marks of struggle and violation were clear, and she seemed completely powerless to resist.
As for Luke, he held her wrists pinned with one hand, the very picture of an aggressor.
'I see... It must be drugs,' Sara concluded, nodding to herself.
As a member of the Rebellion, she was all too familiar with such things. The law of the jungle—the strong prey on the weak. Sara herself had used her position of power within the Rebellion to force others to pose for her art, so she felt no repulsion.
In fact, she felt a faint sense of relief. If this was the case, the chances of her deal with Luke going through were much higher.
More than that, she was now intensely curious about how "Twin Wings" herself had fallen victim to such a scheme.
This curiosity drove Sara to examine Luke and Edelweiss more closely.
And that was a mistake.
Sara's gaze seemed fixed, locked onto Luke and Edelweiss.
She was captivated—deeply, utterly captivated.
Luke's body was far more perfect than she had ever imagined. She had thought that reconstructing her memory of him after that banquet would have brought the image in her mind infinitely close to reality.
But seeing him now, she realized she had been wrong—dangerously wrong.
Before, his clothes had obscured his form, but now, with nothing to hide it, his otherworldly aura—like a god descended to earth—was all the more pronounced.
Especially his back and forehead. Though Sara could see nothing unusual there, her artist's soul told her those two spots must be fundamentally different from any mortal's.
It wasn't something she saw or perceived with her senses, but a spark of artistic inspiration—a grand, divine revelation.
And it wasn't just Luke. Even Edelweiss's body was unimaginably perfect.
Though she lacked Luke's aura of a being from another world, her form still surpassed all of Sara's expectations.
The sight of the two of them together struck Sara with profound awe.
In that moment, ideas flooded her mind like a spring.
Without a moment's hesitation, she made her decision: 'I must paint this!'
