Chapter 4954 - Chapter 4017: MU: Super Body Major Event (60)

"Oh, Captain America. I like that guy." Big Adventure Batman said, arms folded, watching the projection. "He's a WWII veteran who thwarted an evil organization serving the Axis Powers and then got stuck under the ice. None of his abilities stand out, but he's very balanced. Especially that shield, nothing seems to break it."

"We have to deal with his shield first," Arkham Batman said. "That special metal grants extreme impact resistance. If we don't separate him from the shield, we can't beat him, even after a year. But without the shield, his combat power drops significantly."

"What properties does this special metal have? Is it just strong impact resistance? Can we use a magnet to pull it away?"

"That would probably require a huge magnet," Primary Universe Batman said tactfully. "Only the kind Magneto could create."

"We can get him to abandon the shield voluntarily," Batwoman said. "From what I know, he has a habit of throwing the shield to attack others. We can first entice him to attack something, and then take his shield when the opportunity arises."

"That's not a bad method. Maybe we can pretend to attack his teammates, forcing him to go and support them, and use that chance to take his shield."

"What if he has another shield?"

"This thing isn't light. Although he's very strong, carrying too many would be a burden. I tend to think he doesn't have a backup shield. But if he does, we can use the same trick again. Even if he's prepared, he has no choice but to save them."

"Nobility is the epitaph of the noble," a Batman sighed.

"Iron Man. I quite like Iron Man," Mechanical Batman said. "His engineering skills are top-notch, and the mechas he makes are more impressive one after another. I heard from Spider Man that he has at least hundreds of spare mechas. How do we handle that?"

"Can we break through from the software side?" Batwoman asked.

"That would be difficult; his electronic butler Jarvis is formidable," Arkham Batman said. "It's a perfect electronic life, developed emotions, even married and had kids. If we had the technology to invade him, we wouldn't be troubled by Ultron."

The Batmen all sighed, feeling headaches whenever they heard about electronic life forms. It's as if every electronic life form in the neighboring world turns into a spirit.

"Then it's down to physical destruction. Superman's frozen breath paired with laser beams should eliminate the mecha army quickly. But if Doctor Destruction also creates robots, the numbers we have to deal with might not be small."

"I think Shazam's abilities could be useful," one Batman said, rubbing his chin. "He can summon lightning, and intense currents are lethal to any robot. What do you guys think?"

"That's not a bad idea," Primary Universe Batman nodded. "But it won't work on that universe's Iron Man. He uses a Magic Core; trying to zap him with magical lightning might even recharge him."

"Magic Core? He's mastering both technology and magic? Doesn't that make him invincible?"

"His personality flaw is quite big," Primary Universe Batman said. "He's somewhat arrogant and loves to show off, so he would probably choose to fight at the front lines. We can exploit this and trap him temporarily."

"I think the Lasso of Truth could be useful," Arkham Batman smiled. "Tie him up, ask him some embarrassing questions, and then broadcast it. He would be too ashamed to show his face."

Primary Universe Batman couldn't help but glance at him, silently questioning the grudge this proposed plan harbored.

"The Hulk. He might be the hardest to deal with," Big Adventure Batman sighed. "I heard he could throw an entire planet. Do we have anyone matching his strength?"

"Bane certainly can't. Even if he injects all the drugs from his canister, he still can't beat The Hulk. But I've heard this guy's emotions aren't very stable. Maybe we can exploit that too?"

"But the angrier he gets, the stronger he becomes."

"Then have Ron hypnotize him," one Batman suggested. "If we can emotionally calm him, it would strip away his Hulk strength."

"It's a plausible plan, but only if their mind power users don't counter it," Primary Universe Batman sighed.

They continued discussing several other Avengers before reaching the most challenging topic everyone was reluctant to address—the Mutants.

"For heaven's sake, how did such a race come into existence?" Batwoman exclaimed. "I've scoured all the files to find their weaknesses; haha, they don't have any."

The other Batmen didn't want to praise others while belittling themselves, but the truth was indeed like that.

In fact, precisely speaking, the weaknesses of Mutants are too vast. Those with Epsilon Class powers are full of vulnerabilities. But the problem is, the powerful ones are so strong that it's as though the entire race's strength is concentrated in a few individuals, without any discernible flaw.

"Professor X probably won't go all out," Primary Universe Batman said. "But I'll still try developing a brainwave shielding device, something like Magneto's helmet, at least to block brainwaves from command centers. As for psychic abilities… we'll just have to avoid clashing head-on with him."

"And Magneto?" Batwoman asked. "You can shield brainwaves, but how do you shield against universal forces? As I understand it, Magneto has mastered Unified Field Theory. If he wants, he can create a cosmos at his fingertips, not much different from a creator."

"That's right," Arkham Batman said. "Don't think of him as a person; see him as an avatar of the universe's fundamental forces. Fighting him is akin to confronting the universe we're in. How can you defeat the space you're residing in?"

"Magic," Primary Universe Batman said. "As long as we have enough magic energy, we can erect a shield. Magic can be used against the universe's fundamental forces."

"What about the mages?" Big Adventure Batman asked again. "The energy they possess is definitely more than what we've just found. If we use magic to defeat magic, they would certainly have the advantage."

"We can't go head-to-head with the mages, after all, they have the home-field advantage and are more skillful in using energy. We should find their nemesis."

"A nemesis?"

"That's right. Do you know anyone who is immune to magic?"

The Batmen all started talking at once. In fact, there are indeed some beings that aren't much affected by magic, like the Fifth-dimensional beings, but these beings are mostly unstable. It's not easy to get them onto the battlefield, let alone make them face the enemy.

Besides, this time it's mainly about training the Justice League. If we find too many external allies, it won't serve the training purpose.

"Do you know about Deathstroke's weapon?" Primary Universe Batman said, "I heard Constantine mention he seems to have a sword that is completely immune to magic."

"Oh, indeed," Big Adventure Batman said, "He's got a lot of strange things. Are you suggesting we hire him?"

"No. This weapon doesn't get its magic immunity for no reason; there must be some material inside it having this property. We can use such materials to construct things to defend against the mages."

"That should work, I'll go ask him," Arkham Batman said, "If we use this material in the base or transport equipment, it should be immune to the mages' influence."

"Of course, we can't rely solely on materials; Green Lantern also needs to be prepared," Primary Universe Batman said. "Both Green Lantern and the mages can set up small teleportation portals, so they are evenly matched in mobility. Only when Green Lantern tightly watches the mages can others have the space to act."

The Batmen nodded in agreement.

"What about Mephisto?" Arkham Batman asked, "After all, there are quite a few devils on their side."

"Bring Raven in. At worst, let Sanguine Demon have a fight with Mephisto. If that still doesn't work, we'll have to compare the mages' summoning abilities. I believe Constantine won't lose."

The determined tone of Primary Universe Batman left all the Batmen a bit speechless. He's really not afraid of embarrassing himself in the neighboring world.

Is that summoning by Constantine? It's using the devils' hatred for him to trick the opponents over. But still, this could be considered a form of summoning. No matter the mood of the arriving individuals, you just have to see if they arrive.

"The other side probably has a spaceship," Batwoman said, crossing her arms, "I heard from their Universe's Spider Man that they built their own star ship not long ago, and there will definitely be matching escort ships. How should we fight this?"

"We also have spaceships in the universe, right?" Primary Universe Batman looked around at the Batmen and said, "If push comes to shove, I'll borrow a few from Darkseid. Though those ships aren't very suitable for human operation, their strength is undeniable. Cyborg can operate them, and then Green Lantern can simulate some with Green Lantern energy, which should be enough."

"There's also Asgard," someone reminded, "I've heard it's like the organization on Mount Olympus; that God Clan fights pretty well too. Should we hand it over to Wonder Woman?"

"Yes, that's exactly what I was planning," Primary Universe Batman said, "Mainly entrust this to Wonder Woman and Shazam. Martian Manhunter can assist on the side. Even without using psychic abilities, Martian Manhunter's combat abilities are very strong."

Then they discussed many possible situations. But in reality, this kind of discussion is just to reassure everyone, letting them know their strength isn't weak and barely enough to contend. When it comes to actual combat, the situation is ever-changing, and decisions cannot be made based on a set pattern; most of it requires adapting on the fly.

But soon, they got to the main point.

"What about Shiller?"

With this question, all the Batmen fell silent, and it was an unprecedented silence. The atmosphere was even more solemn than when Professor X and Magneto appeared.

The projector was displaying information on Shiller. If you looked closely, the numbers weren't very strong, far less impressive than those mutant monsters. But for some reason, none of the Batmen said a word.

Some Batmen who hadn't encountered Shiller didn't understand why they were so heavy-hearted, so they quietly inquired. Those who knew explained a simple truth to them — if Shiller's stats are so low, and he doesn't appear to have any remarkable traits, where did his illustrious reputation come from?

It's indeed a point of contradiction. As everyone knows, strong heroes with unimpressive stats are typically mechanical monsters.

In the end, it was the Primary Universe Batman who was most familiar with Shiller who concluded the discussion.

"Shiller will definitely not go to the front line." He said, "At most, he'll find a secondary position to watch the show from the side. That's what he likes to do."

"Why?" a Batman asked.

Primary Universe Batman didn't answer, because it was a question that couldn't be answered. You couldn't exactly say that he knew all of this was possibly orchestrated by Shiller behind the scenes, and this guy made such a big arrangement neither to destroy the universe nor for plunder and murder, but just to watch the fun at the last moment like some kind of lunatic, right?

Shiller made this dumpling just for the vinegar, so how could he get distracted when it's served?
