Chapter 5406 - Chapter 4436: The Farstar Project (15)

But the appearance of the two of them frightened Victor very much, mainly because Arthur's injuries were too alarming. Therefore, Victor did not have that "savior has come" feeling at all; he just wanted Arthur to run quickly.

Arthur was also in a bit of a bind. If Savage Wolf wasn't in the sea, it wasn't easy for him to make a move. So he shouted at Victor, "Run! Run towards the sea!"

Victor didn't quite react in time. But Savage Wolf was already closing in. Just when its claws were about to grab his neck, a figure swiftly rushed over. Ron headbutted Savage Wolf's waist, sending him flying heavily away.

"Oh my god, I just cleaned up a mess in the Amazon," Ron sighed, "And now this again..."

He hadn't even finished speaking when Savage Wolf jumped up again. Even without armor, his physical strength was not to be underestimated. He charged fiercely, using his foot to push against Ron's abdomen, slamming him into the adjacent building, which shattered instantly.

Fortunately, when Doomsday jumped over earlier, the people in the building had already fled. To be precise, everyone on this street had mostly run away. The unluckiest ones present were the police, after all, their patrol cars were gone, and they couldn't flee by riding donut trucks.

However, Shiller knew his stuff and directly called the police to run towards the headquarters base. The base built by Batman had to be top quality, even if the sky collapsed, this base wouldn't come down.

Seeing there were no ordinary people on the street, these superpowered beings no longer held back. Ron went all out again, engaging in a melee with Savage Wolf. A punch for a punch, no one could gain the upper hand.

Victor had already seized the opportunity to reach the seaside. Arthur and Mera also arrived, and now the sea was their territory. Once they entered the sea, no one could do anything to them.

Initially, they planned to dive straight into the sea. However, while Victor was flying in mid-air, he suddenly noticed something wrong with a tourist.

The commotion Arthur caused earlier had already left the beach deserted. Even if a few people remained, upon seeing them fly over, they screamed and ran towards the shore. Only one person stood there blankly, watching them.

Victor instinctively glanced that way. When he made eye contact and saw the yellow light emanating from his eyes, it felt like a direct blow, causing him to fall straight out of the sky.

Arthur, who was heading towards the ocean, turned around at this sight and hurried back. They picked up Victor, shouting, "Victor! Victor!"

But Victor seemed to be entranced, as if trapped in a nightmare he couldn't wake up from, continually muttering "Mom," his limbs twitching incessantly.

Arthur cursed inwardly, knowing it wasn't going to be that easy. But the more terrifying thing was yet to come—the once clear and calm skies of Metropolis were suddenly shrouded in clouds. The sun vanished behind the clouds, and from between the gaps in the clouds, an eerie yellow light began to emerge.

Things resembling branches and moving mud protruded from the gaps in the clouds. They formed a bizarre hand in mid-air, followed by an arm and shoulder. Finally, a terrifying monster face with yellow light emanating from the mouth and nose emerged from the clouds.

"What the hell is this??!!!"

Arthur hadn't even finished yelling when he suddenly felt dizzy. The scenes of Port of Mercy being submerged, his father, and his loved ones drowning in the water started flashing again.

He clutched his forehead, letting out a painful groan, and also fell to the ground. Meanwhile, Ron, who was in battle with Savage Wolf, suddenly caught sight of the dried corpses of his family down the street out of the corner of his eye.

Ron nearly collapsed on the spot. He couldn't even care about Savage Wolf anymore, charging directly in that direction. But Savage Wolf wasn't one to pass up opportunities, seizing Ron's distraction to smash him to the ground, landing a punch on his head.

"Bang!" Ron's head was knocked askew. Blood flowed down from the corners of his mouth and eyes. Yet he still struggled mindlessly because he saw his family screaming in the fire, and he could do nothing.

Having just returned from a trip to the Amazon and learning more information about the Mother Box from her mother, Diana arrived back just in time. She plunged a sword into Savage Wolf's back, forcing him to release Ron. However, upon glancing at the sky, Diana too began to feel uneasy.

She took a deep breath, avoiding looking at the scenes of her sisters on Paradise Island screaming in agony, and focused on battling Savage Wolf. But she was already no match for Savage Wolf. In a one-on-one fight, she was utterly suppressed, quickly being knocked aside.

Savage Wolf's target wasn't her. Despite Diana being the daughter of the Amazon Queen who might possess a Mother Box, their relationship was still too distant. He first wanted to obtain the Mother Box from Victor, who was within arm's reach.

He flew toward the coastline, soon seeing the three people collapsed on the beach. Savage Wolf curled his lips—a stroke of good luck without any effort. He instinctively glanced at the sky, only to see a vision of Darkseid sentencing him.

Savage Wolf shook his head, realizing this monster that descended on Earth seemed to have a fear-inducing ability. But this little bit of fear was nothing for the weak-willed humans to handle. He wouldn't be afraid at all.

Despite those images constantly haunting him, he first walked over, preparing to deal with Victor. He lifted Victor up, examined his body, and realized that the Mother Box might have already integrated into his body. To prevent damaging the Mother Box, he decided to take Victor with him entirely.

Just as he was about to take off, he saw a green figure flying in from a distance. A beam of green energy hit Savage Wolf, knocking him from midair to the ground.

"Damn it, why is he here too!" Hal, who had gained the upper hand, seemed even more panicked. Using Barry, he had drawn Parallax over, originally intending to resolve Parallax first with the Justice League to eliminate mental interference, but he didn't expect Savage Wolf to make a move at this moment too. Now it's really troublesome.

Although Barry brought Parallax, his own state wasn't good. Due to spiritual power depletion, Divine Speed was always on the verge of being out of control, and he didn't dare let himself leave the hospital now.

Arthur and Victor had both fallen. And with Savage Wolf here, it proved that Ron and Diana probably weren't doing well either. In other words, now the entire Justice League was just him left! Am I really going to fight Savage Wolf and Parallax?!

If it were only Parallax, Hal wouldn't really be afraid. Because with enough willpower, Green Lantern energy can restrain Parallax's power. That's why he wanted to bring Parallax over. However, Green Lantern Power can restrain Parallax but can't restrain Savage Wolf. This guy is a melee tank with a much tougher body than his own; being caught by him would mean death.

But since things have come to this, Hal has no choice but to fight. Considering that Parallax's mental interference doesn't affect him, he decided to deal with Savage Wolf first. After all, if Savage Wolf found a gap while dealing with Parallax, that would be fatal.

He flew towards Savage Wolf, probing with Green Lantern energy to harass him. Savage Wolf wasn't foolish; he wouldn't just stand there and let him attack. Every time Hal raised his hand, he would run. His reaction time and running speed were top-notch, and it was hard for the Green Lantern energy to hit him.

Savage Wolf often used feints to deceive Hal's movements. In constant dodging, he continuously closed in on Hal. Hal wanted to maintain distance, but as soon as he turned to leave, Savage Wolf quickly caught up. The distance between them remained unchangeable.

Hal was running and shooting in the air. But Savage Wolf managed to avoid the attacks while still closing in on him. Seeing that the energy stored in the Green Lantern Ring was running low, Hal gritted his teeth, stomped his foot, and flew directly toward Parallax.

He thought it would be great if these two monsters could fight. But even if Parallax's intelligence wasn't high, Savage Wolf wouldn't be easily fooled. When Hal stopped in front of Parallax, Savage Wolf pretended to charge, but when Hal turned to dodge, he made a high-speed turn too, grabbing Hal's ankle directly.

This was troublesome. Savage Wolf grabbed Hal's ankle and smashed him onto the sea surface. Hal let out a scream, Green Lantern energy enveloping his body. Yet Savage Wolf's claw ripped open the somewhat thin Green Lantern energy, and with another swipe, he opened Hal's chest.

"Ugh!!!!!!"

Hal screamed in agony, using his last bit of Green Lantern energy to repair his body, submerging at the fastest speed to create distance between him and Savage Wolf. Savage Wolf seemed afraid of the sea and didn't dare dive but turned and charged towards Victor instead.

Hal hurriedly emerged from the sea and held onto him. But he still couldn't restrain Savage Wolf. They grappled on the sea surface for a long time, and Hal was covered in blood. The flickering Green Lantern Ring on his hand indicated that his energy was completely depleted.

Savage Wolf no longer paid attention to him. He knew that the big monster in the sky was coming for Hal, and his most important task now was to take the Mother Box.

Savage Wolf flew back to the shore. Hal struggled to swim toward the shore, leaving a long trail of blood behind him. But he still didn't give up, even under such circumstances, Parallax's fear attack still couldn't shake him.

Seeing Savage Wolf lift Victor again, Hal gritted his teeth fiercely. No, he absolutely couldn't let him take Victor away! Whether for the camaraderie or considering the later situation, Victor must not fall into the enemy's hands!

But now the Green Lantern energy was exhausted, and the Lantern Furnace wasn't by his side. He had no way to recharge, so he couldn't block Savage Wolf. Without the Green Lantern energy and even strength afterward, he might directly drown here.

His body started to sink. Hal tried to hold his breath and swim upwards, and at the same time, he still hadn't given up and was striving to think of a solution. Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck him, and he turned to look at Parallax covering the entire sky.

Since the Green Lantern Ring was already empty now, why not use Parallax's Yellow Torch Energy?

Fear cannot conquer me, and I will manipulate fear!

Hal used his last bit of strength to reach out to Parallax in the water. The Yellow Torch Energy that originally invaded found it couldn't break through Hal's spiritual will, so it retreated and started invading the Green Lantern Ring instead. Dense yellow light surrounded Hal's arm, then spread across his body.

Meanwhile, at the Cosmic Guardian Headquarters' base, the monitoring system of the Green Lantern Ring continuously issued warnings. A group of blue-headed beings quickly gathered, staring in shock at the readings.

As the Yellow Torch Energy became more and more concentrated, a yellow-glowing figure burst out from beneath the sea like a bullet, charging toward Savage Wolf.
