Shattered Continent, inside the City of Vanishing.
"Your payment."
A goat-headed old demon tossed out a money pouch. This old demon might be ancient, but don't underestimate him—most goat-headed demon elders are nasty pieces of work. That's a lesson the other races learned in blood.
Bubu Wang set down the stone sculpture in his paw, nodded to the goat-headed elder, then picked up the money pouch in his jaws and turned to leave.
"Polite little fellow. But… seems an old acquaintance has arrived in the City of Vanishing. That familiar feeling…"
The old demon's eyes narrowed. He waved his hand, and an image appeared before him.
Ka-ka-ka…
Blue veins wrapped around the image bit by bit, then burst apart.
"As expected, an ally has arrived. The problem is, that ally doesn't exactly trust the Demon Clan. A smart choice."
