Arc felt it would take a little longer to settle things after the distraction Owyn just created, so she sent him off the ship to wait while she worked through exactly what was going on with Snow and the quadruplets.
By the end of it, she managed to extract their promise that they would stop harassing Snow, provided their mutual teacher didn't find out about the two ratkin's attempt to sneakily acquire metal for the ship, and provided they pay back Snow in full.
Afterwards, she found Owyn sitting at the edge of the dock, staring out over the lake towards the inner edge of the Veil. Sitting next to him, she waited for him to say something, but when he continued to stare out, she finally asked, "What's really going on, Owyn? Does this have something to do with what my father said?"
