Alex raised his hammer high, then slammed it into the ground.
BAM!
The Metal surface cracked around him.
Molten metal shot out like a wave, then rose into a wall.
It clashed with Sigma's space slicers head-on.
The molten wall hissed, splashed, and got carved apart in thin lines, but it still ate most of the cuts.
The whole tower began to shake.
The lights under the dome flickered for a moment.
"You should stop," Sigma said.
"Another exchange like this and this place won't hold. The pillar will collapse."
Alex's eyes narrowed.
He could feel the strain in the structure under his feet.
If the pillar fell, the dome would fail.
Most of the humans in the city would not survive the outside atmosphere.
"There are more than a hundred thousand people living in this city."
"Are you threatening me?" Alex said.
"I'm pointing out reality. This pillar is strong, but not strong enough to handle your strength," Sigma said.
Alex tightened his grip on the hammer.
