"This Body Flicker Jutsu is called Shunpo, and its characteristic is that it can accumulate explosive bursts to enhance movement speed," Mutsuki began to explain.
Since this is a modified version, and the name Soru (Shave) feels a bit strange in the context of Naruto, Mutsuki decided to rename the weakened Soru to Shunpo (Instant Step).
Although Shunpo isn't a widely recognized term in Naruto either, Mutsuki couldn't come up with a better name. He certainly couldn't call it "Mutsuki's Body Flicker" or "Yumi's Body Flicker," as that would be a bit too much.
"It's also because of the accumulated explosive bursts that it puts much greater strain on the legs compared to the ordinary Body Flicker Jutsu," Mutsuki reminded them again.
"Accumulated bursts?" The Ninja below looked a bit confused.
They were clear on the process of gathering Chakra and then bursting it out, as that is the standard for the ordinary Body Flicker Jutsu, but they had never heard the term "accumulated bursts" before.
Mutsuki also knew that it would be difficult to understand just by talking, so he picked up a large tree leaf with his left hand and three smaller leaves with his right hand. Then, using fire-release Chakra, he ignited the large leaf in his left hand and said, "This is the ordinary Body Flicker Jutsu."
Immediately after, Mutsuki ignited the leaves in his right hand with fire-release Chakra. Although a single leaf couldn't compare to the large leaf, the fire created by the three leaves burning together was much larger than that of the single large leaf.
Mutsuki raised his right hand slightly higher and said, "And this is Shunpo!"
Mutsuki's vivid explanation allowed the ninjas below to roughly understand the concept behind the development of Shunpo.
Of course, they only understood the development concept; they still didn't grasp the underlying principles. However, no one found this to be a problem because it was clearly a relatively advanced Chakra control technique that couldn't be explained in just a few words.
Next, Mutsuki began the formal teaching, starting with a detailed explanation of Chakra control, followed by a breakdown demonstration, making the Ninjas feel as if they were being spoon-fed knowledge.
This surprised and delighted many Ninjas. Typically, in a class of dozens, the teaching is not usually so detailed; only one-on-three or one-on-one instruction would be taught in this manner.
If the impression Mutsuki left on them the first day was that of a young and promising powerful Ninja, then on the second day, he gave them the impression of a dedicated and capable teacher.
Those attending Mutsuki's class for the first time always felt pleasantly surprised. The combination of systematic ability enhancement and Mutsuki's experiences from his previous life made him truly unique in teaching.
Although he was a bit older than Mutsuki, Sarutobi Shinji could sincerely call him "Yumi-sensei" now, because Mutsuki indeed put in his utmost effort in teaching. Each of the thirty Ninjas received individual guidance from Mutsuki, and throughout the teaching process, he hardly took a break.
When the day's instruction came to an end, Mutsuki happily saw the system panel displaying the teaching settlement.
[Completed a mid-level lecture, beginning settlement] [Evaluation: A]
[Reward obtained: Shadow Imitation Jutsu]
[First time completing mid-level lecture, obtained skill -- Enlightenment]
[Enlightenment -- Allows a person to enter a state of Enlightenment for forty-eight hours (the weekly usage limit is the total number of disciples plus one; effects cannot stack, and usage cannot accumulate)]
[Enlightenment state: Clear mind, increased comprehension ability (cannot enter Enlightenment state again for five days after the Enlightenment state ends)]
"Indeed, it's related to the strength of the students," Mutsuki nodded in agreement as he looked at the rows of black text on the panel.
The description of this course was notably different from before; it was clear from the literal description that it was at a higher level.
The rewards were also different. In previous classes, whether large or small, Mutsuki had never drawn any Ninjutsu related to Secret Jutsu. It seemed that there were likely no Secret Jutsu in the ordinary class reward pool.
However, Mutsuki's focus was not on Shadow Imitation Jutsu. Although it was a Secret Jutsu, most of the points had been allocated to support. Mutsuki was more interested in the skill named Enlightenment.
This unassuming name is clearly not a Ninjutsu but rather a skill similar to that of a chef or a professor.
The status of teaching skills is unquestionable; Mutsuki's disciples owe much of their current growth to it.
Although the chef skill is merely a life skill, it is unexpectedly practical and has played a significant role in many situations.
After reading the introduction of the Enlightenment skill, Mutsuki immediately felt that it was specially prepared for his disciples and him.
Unlike teaching, Enlightenment has a usage limit, and the number of uses is exactly the total number of disciples plus one. That extra one is clearly meant for him as the sensei.
Although his system panel shows only four disciples, the total disciple quota is five, leaving one slot unused, so Mutsuki's panel shows that the Enlightenment skill still has six usage opportunities remaining.
After returning home, Mutsuki immediately activated an Enlightenment for himself. Once used, the Enlightenment skill enters a refresh countdown. After seven days, the number of uses for the Enlightenment skill will reset to six. Regardless of how many times it was used before the refresh, it will only be six afterward, unless there is a change in Mutsuki's disciple quota.
After using the skill, Mutsuki didn't feel much change in his body; he just felt a bit clearer-headed.
Then Mutsuki immediately took out the Flying Thunder God scroll and began studying it. He wanted to see if he could make progress under the buff's influence.
However, after studying seriously for two hours and then consulting Minato for another two hours, he still hadn't achieved any results, and his Proficiency level remained at a complete standstill.
Mutsuki had three thoughts about this. The first was that the effect of the Enlightenment skill was average. The second was that he truly had no talent for Space-Time techniques, and the Enlightenment skill couldn't create something from nothing; if he had no talent, there was nothing he could do to force it.
The third thought was a combination of the first two: the Enlightenment effect wasn't particularly strong, and his Space-Time talent was nearly useless.
To verify his thoughts, Mutsuki studied Sealing Jutsu intensely for another three hours.
He was completely engrossed; even though it was already late at night, Mutsuki found it hard to stop studying because he had just resolved a problem that had been bothering him for a week—a small difficulty he encountered while improving the Yin Seal.
"Enlightenment state greatly enhances learning ability," Mutsuki thought as he exhaled and drank some hot tea.
He had anticipated that it would take him at least another five days to resolve this difficulty, yet he managed to solve it in just three hours today. While this doesn't mean that three hours in the Enlightenment state equals five days without it, it does provide some proof of the effectiveness of the Enlightenment state.
Mutsuki kept studying until 3 AM before lying down in bed to sleep. He felt that the buff could be a bit more intelligent; if only he could pause it, otherwise, the time spent sleeping would be wasted.
Normally, Mutsuki was quite busy; otherwise, he would really want to pull an all-nighter for two days to study Sealing Jutsu. With his current physical condition, staying up for two nights wouldn't have much effect on him.
However, staying up for two nights along with high-intensity work could lead to a decline in his condition. The ANBU and Root training required a lot of his energy, and he also had to teach his disciples with Shadow Clones.
Compared to those few hours of Enlightenment state, Mutsuki hoped even more to maintain his peak condition at all times, just in case of any unexpected events.
The Enlightenment state can be activated two days each week, but if something unexpected occurs and he fails to stop it, it may be hard to recover.
Mutsuki got up on time at 7:30, quickly resolved breakfast, and then headed to the training ground for the third day of teaching.
While teaching, Mutsuki noticed something unusual; after half a day of class, he found that his understanding of Soru had deepened a bit.
Mutsuki understood the principle of teaching benefiting both the teacher and the student, but the effect had never been this noticeable before. Clearly, it was the result of the Enlightenment state.
The Ninjas receiving training didn't understand what had changed in Mutsuki; they only felt that he was in even better shape than yesterday, and his explanations were clearer and easier to understand.
[Completed a medium-level class]
[Evaluation: A]
[Reward obtained: Inuzuka-style Beast Imitating Ninja Technique]
Upon seeing today's reward, Mutsuki could basically confirm that the rewards for medium-level classes are various rare Secret Jutsu.
A flood of memories filled Mutsuki's mind, and much knowledge about the Beast Imitating Ninja Technique appeared in his thoughts.
The Inuzuka Clan's Beast Imitating Ninja Technique primarily mimics Nin-Dogs and is classified as Yang Release in terms of Chakra Nature Transformation. However, the Beast Imitating Ninja Technique relies mainly on Taijutsu for output, enhancing the body through the technique and then utilizing powerful Taijutsu.
After acquiring the Beast Imitating Ninja Technique, Mutsuki found it to be a versatile Secret Jutsu. With the enhancement of the Beast Imitating Ninja Technique, he could achieve a sense of smell thousands of times stronger than that of an ordinary person, even able to detect the strength of Chakra. Just this single effect could be considered a form of Sensory Ninjutsu.
Mutsuki has some interest in studying both Nara's Shadow Secret Technique and Inuzuka's Beast Imitating Ninja Technique, as these Yin Release and Yang Release Secret Jutsu are indeed more profound than the five basic elemental natures.
For instance, with the Beast Imitating Ninja Technique, could it be possible to develop a technique that simulates mythical creatures?
The next day, Mutsuki got up at 6:50 AM and headed to the Southern Forest.
Yesterday, he had informed his disciples through Shadow Clone to come a little earlier in the morning.
The reason for this was to allow his disciples to experience the Enlightenment state. Since this skill doesn't accumulate usage counts, it's better to use it sooner rather than later.
"Yumi-sensei, is there something special today? Why do we have to be up so early?" Obito yawned and asked. He hadn't woken up this early in a long time, especially since he didn't need to go to school; getting up this early felt like unnecessary suffering.
"It's not a special day; I just think the weather has been quite nice lately, perfect for training," Mutsuki replied with a gentle smile.
Of course, he couldn't reveal the existence of the Enlightenment skill, so he just gave a casual explanation. With the current level of trust from his disciples, they wouldn't think much of it.
"The weather does seem pretty nice, really suitable for practicing Flame Breathing," Obito said, looking up at the sky and agreeing with Mutsuki.
"Then we might need to adjust the training plan a bit," Guy said, stroking his chin, since he was originally supposed to be warming up with a run at this time.
Kakashi remained indifferent; for him, whether it was early or late made little difference, and Shisui shared a similar mindset.
Shizune, observing the excited or indifferent crowd around her, felt somewhat out of place.
Since Tsunade always woke up around noon due to her hangovers, Shizune's waking time had shifted later, usually around 8:30 AM. Suddenly waking up this early felt a bit uncomfortable for her.
Although arriving by 7:00 AM was fine, Shizune still had to cook for herself and travel, which took a considerable amount of time.
"Is it Tsunade-sama's laziness that's affecting me?" Looking at everyone else being so diligent, Shizune felt that there was something wrong with her.
After explaining, Mutsuki quickly granted his disciples the Enlightenment state. Since he had one unused disciple slot, Mutsuki gained an extra opportunity.
After considering it, he ultimately decided to give Shizune the Enlightenment. After all, she would be studying under him for half a year, so granting her one Enlightenment wasn't a big deal. For the next extra Enlightenment opportunity, Mutsuki decided to give it to Rin for the third week, and for the fourth week, it would go to Asuma.
After the Enlightenment, Mutsuki guided *Guy on the Eight Inner Gates for a while before heading to the training ground for another day of lessons.
Obito initially thought it would be an ordinary day, but after practicing for a bit, a flash of inspiration struck him. A recent issue he couldn't comprehend regarding the Breathing Technique suddenly became clear.
Looking around to confirm that everything was normal, Obito lowered his head and showed an excited expression before immediately diving into intense training.
"Kakashi, just wait! Once I perfect my Flame Breathing Chakra Mode, I'll definitely knock you around in front of Rin-chan," Obito's fighting spirit ignited within him.
Swish!
Kakashi activated the Transparent World and unleashed a fiercely powerful lightning slash, causing the two-meter-tall boulder in front of him to shatter instantly.
After this slash, Kakashi's movements paused, and an unexpected expression appeared on his face.
Just then, he noticed that his Transparent World had undergone a slight change; his five senses had further opened up, giving him a feeling reminiscent of the explosive activation of the Transparent World in dire situations.
Kakashi knew that such an opportunity was rare, so he immediately focused intensely on his training.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Shisui continuously used Armament Haki and threw punches, breaking all the surrounding trees within a short period, creating a constant sound of crashes.
He felt he had grasped some kind of key point that significantly increased his success rate. To validate his thoughts, Shisui kept using Armament Haki, refining his Chakra when it ran low, and immediately returning to training once he recovered.
Although Kakashi had comprehended such a powerful ability as the Transparent World, Shisui felt that if he mastered Armament Haki, he would definitely have the strength to fight back.
"Haha, my dear friend, next time the winner will definitely be me!" Guy suddenly laughed during his training.
He was confident that he could master the fourth gate of the Eight Inner Gates within three days.
However, Guy wasn't planning to challenge Kakashi right after mastering the fourth gate; he wanted to fully grasp the Golden Skyline first.
"Could it be that waking up early for training has better effects?" After training for a while, Shizune noticed that she felt unusually good today and couldn't help but think to herself.
Shizune instinctively glanced at Mutsuki's disciples and noticed that Obito and the others were working exceptionally hard, with Obito and Guy even laughing while practicing.
Her desire to rest instantly vanished. Although she couldn't practice while laughing, she didn't want to fall too far behind.
