"Obito, can you tell me about your internship experience?" Shisui asked Obito during a break in training.
Shisui had already discussed with Mutsuki that he would join the internship and graduate directly, so he wanted to gather some internship experience from Obito.
Originally, Shisui had planned to ask Kakashi, thinking Kakashi would be much more reliable in this area, but Kakashi seemed to have something to do and didn't come to the South Border Forest today.
After Minato returned, Obito and the others were basically running back and forth—training for a few days with Minato, then coming back to train with Mutsuki.
"Shisui, why are you asking about this? Aren't you just a second-year student?" Obito scratched his head, confused.
"I'm planning to graduate early in my second year, so I'll be participating in this year's internship," Shisui explained.
"I see," Obito said with a look of realization.
Obito didn't find anything strange about Shisui graduating early. Kakashi hadn't even finished his first year before he graduated, and since Shisui could easily outperform Kakashi, Obito saw no issue with Shisui graduating early.
"Well, you've come to the right person. I'm one of the best in the internship program!" Obito said proudly, puffing his chest out and grinning.
The number and quality of tasks completed by their team were both top-notch, and he added "one of" because Guy was also in the same team.
"Mm, very impressive," Shisui clapped and complimented.
Although his applause and smile weren't particularly enthusiastic, he knew it would make Obito happy.
Sure enough, a smug grin soon appeared on Obito's face.
"First of all, internship Ninjas are still Ninjas, and we have to take on missions. There's a high chance that accidents will happen during these missions, so we must be careful and cautious," Obito began explaining.
Shisui nodded. It seemed Obito wasn't as unreliable in this area as he'd imagined.
"If you encounter an accident, don't panic. As long as you work hard with your teammates, you'll always be able to overcome difficulties," Obito said, raising his fist in encouragement.
The time they encountered the Raikage candidate was exactly when he, Guy, and Kakashi didn't abandon each other and kept fighting, eventually defeating the Hidden Cloud Jonin.
"Obito, did you have many accidents during your internship?" Shisui asked curiously.
He could tell from Obito's expression that he wasn't just saying it casually; it seemed to be from personal experience.
"D-Rank missions didn't have any accidents, but C-Rank missions usually had some. For example, we ran into the Raikage candidate, and once we got caught up in an attack from over a thousand enemy Ninjas," Obito said after thinking for a moment.
"Internships are that dangerous?" Shisui nearly thought he heard wrong.
Encounters with the Raikage candidate and a battle with over a thousand Ninjas shouldn't those be S-Rank missions?
"Of course, it's dangerous. If it weren't for Yumi-sensei, we'd be dead by now," Obito said matter-of-factly.
"But no one in the other internship teams had casualties," Shisui said, feeling something was off.
Although he could tell that Obito wasn't lying, the content still seemed a bit illogical.
"Maybe it's because the other teams can only take D-Rank missions. Our team was specially authorized by the Hokage to take C-Rank missions during the internship," Obito thought for a moment, then realized that other teams couldn't even take C-Rank missions.
Shisui nodded, feeling that it might be better to ask Kakashi about this another time.
"By the way, never say that there won't be any accidents before going on a mission. If you do, there will definitely be an accident," Obito suddenly said with a serious expression, as if remembering something.
Obito thought that so many accidents were probably caused by Kakashi, since Kakashi would always say there wouldn't be any accidents before they left, and the more Kakashi assured them, the bigger the accidents seemed to get.
Shisui found this a bit strange, but seeing how serious Obito was, he decided to take note of it.
After finishing the day's training, Shisui returned home, exhausted.
He rested for a bit and then began preparing dinner for himself.
At that moment, there was a sudden knock on the door.
When Shisui opened the door and saw the person standing outside, a smile with a hint of surprise appeared on his face.
"Uncle Nobuhiro," Shisui greeted with a smile.
Standing at the door was his long-unseen uncle.
Perhaps due to the war, Shisui felt that Uchiha Nobuhiro had been busier than before, sometimes not even in the village for months.
"Shisui, it's been a while. It seems like you've grown taller," Uchiha Nobuhiro responded with a smile.
"Last time I left, you were just about this tall," Uchiha Nobuhiro gestured as he spoke.
"Uncle Nobuhiro, please come in. I'll pour you a cup of tea," Shisui invited as he led his uncle inside.
Uchiha Nobuhiro nodded and placed the fruits and sweets he had brought on the table.
"Shisui, have you eaten?" Uchiha Nobuhiro asked after taking the tea Shisui had served him, noticing that the surroundings didn't seem like someone who had just finished eating.
"Not yet, I was just about to cook," Shisui answered honestly.
"Perfect, I haven't eaten yet either. Let me show you my cooking skills," Uchiha Nobuhiro laughed as he walked toward the kitchen.
Whether he had eaten or not, at this moment he would always pretend not to have. When he was around, he made sure to look after Shisui as best as he could.
Shisui didn't refuse his uncle's kindness and followed him into the kitchen to help.
"How have you been lately? Have you encountered any difficulties in your training?" Uchiha Nobuhiro asked with concern as they sat down to eat.
His uncle's meal, and the way he asked about his life with such care, made Shisui subconsciously recall the times when Uchiha Nobuhiro had taken care of him as a child.
"Everything's fine, no difficulties," Shisui shook his head and answered.
The inheritance left by his family made him financially secure, and with Mutsuki there to guide him in his training, he really hadn't faced any difficulties.
Mutsuki had thought of everything for him, even paying attention to his emotions and celebrating his birthday together.
"Shisui, you're so mature that it makes me, your uncle, seem almost useless. No wonder you're the genius of our Uchiha Clan," Uchiha Nobuhiro said with a smile, praising him.
"However, there is something I need to tell you," Shisui said after a moment of thought.
"I plan to graduate early and become a Ninja."
Shisui told Uchiha Nobuhiro about his plan to graduate early.
"Graduate early, huh..." Uchiha Nobuhiro fell into thought.
"If there's nothing left to learn at the Academy, then there's really no point in staying," Uchiha Nobuhiro agreed with Shisui's decision.
As Shisui's uncle, he knew his talent well.
Given Shisui's performance, Uchiha Nobuhiro believed that, barring any accidents, Shisui could become the next Uchiha Kagami, or even surpass him.
Becoming a Ninja meant danger, but it also meant faster growth.
Due to his unique experiences, Shisui possessed a maturity far beyond his peers, and Uchiha Nobuhiro believed this decision was the result of Shisui's careful consideration.
Receiving his uncle's approval, Shisui smiled.
Although Uchiha Nobuhiro's disagreement wouldn't stop him from graduating early, since he was the second person he trusted, Shisui still cared about his uncle's opinion.
After dinner, Uchiha Nobuhiro suggested a sparring match to help digest his meal.
To reassure Uchiha Nobuhiro about his decision to become a Ninja, Shisui agreed.
Due to his busy schedule, Uchiha Nobuhiro hadn't been able to guide Shisui's training for quite some time and wasn't aware of his current strength.
To avoid damaging the house, Shisui took Uchiha Nobuhiro to an empty, secluded area nearby.
"Attack me with everything you've got," Uchiha Nobuhiro said as he stood across from Shisui.
"Flame Breathing, Total Concentration!"
Shisui immediately focused his breathing to the extreme, strengthening his body and enhancing his Chakra Nature Transformation.
"Fire Release: Successive Great Fireballs!"
Shisui gathered a large amount of Chakra in his throat and then released two huge Fireballs toward Uchiha Nobuhiro.
Knowing that Uchiha Nobuhiro was a strong Uchiha Jonin, Shisui didn't hold back and used his full strength.
"Has this been an advancement of the Great Fireball technique?"
Looking at the two Fireballs coming his way, Uchiha Nobuhiro was a bit surprised.
For a Chunin Uchiha to use a Great Fireball was already impressive, but Shisui managed to release two in one go.
Uchiha Nobuhiro quickly moved, evading the attack. Being extremely familiar with the Great Fireball, he naturally wouldn't let two of them hit him.
Whoosh!
Shisui's legs exploded with Chakra as he rushed toward Uchiha Nobuhiro at high speed.
Bang!
Uchiha Nobuhiro caught Shisui's punch with his palm, but his body was forced to step back.
"Has it really been four years since I last came back? Shisui, you're already eleven?" Uchiha Nobuhiro reflected on Shisui's speed and, sensing the strength from his palm, couldn't help but speak out.
Shisui was so strong that he momentarily questioned whether he had traveled through time. Although he hadn't been fully serious, he was still a Jonin—one of the stronger ones at that.
"No, I'm still seven," Shisui said, dodging and creating some distance.
"Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!"
Shisui quickly formed hand signs, gathering most of his Chakra, which he then rapidly converted into fire and expelled in one powerful burst.
As fellow practitioners of Flame Breathing, and given that Shisui's Ninjutsu talent was higher than Obito's, Mutsuki had naturally taught him this formidable Fire Release technique.
Seeing the massive flames rushing toward him, Uchiha Nobuhiro's eyes widened in disbelief.
This... is this really a seven-year-old?
Uchiha Nobuhiro was certain that, barring any accidents, Shisui would surpass Uchiha Kagami. Uchiha Kagami was not this strong when he was Shisui's age.
In that instant, Uchiha Nobuhiro felt that Shisui could reach Uchiha Madara's level.
But it was only for a moment. Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama were two legends of the ninja world, and the gap between them and ordinary ninjas was simply too vast.
Using Fire Release to counter Shisui's Fire Dragon Flame Bullet, Uchiha Nobuhiro looked at Shisui with a gaze full of delight.
With this level of strength, Shisui could not only become a Genin but also a strong Chunin, capable of self-defense with no problem at all.
