Chapter 381 - Chapter 381: Konoha Genin Naruto Uzumaki? Fake Certificate!

In the early morning, Mutsuki went to the Hokage Building's mission hall to look for tasks.

Obito's life mission progress had reached 19.2%, and it was only 0.8% away from reaching 20%, at which point the reward would be recalculated.

If the task type was suitable, it could be completed in one go.

Of course, if it wasn't suitable, the outcome might not be as good as staying in Konoha to train and increase strength, so Mutsuki didn't bring Obito and the others along. Instead, he came alone to the Hokage Building.

If a suitable task was available, he would take it; if not, he would focus on training.

"B-Rank Mission, Investigate Roran Prime Minister Anrokuzan..." Mutsuki's gaze sharpened upon seeing the word "Roran" and quickly finished reading the entire task.

Roran is a rather special place in the world of Naruto, as its Dragon Vein possesses the power to transcend time and space.

However, Mutsuki clearly remembered that when Minato went to the Dragon Vein, he was already proficient in using Rasengan, so the Roran mission shouldn't have been at this time.

Mutsuki carefully recalled the events of the Roran storyline and realized that the Roran mission in front of him wasn't the same one Minato had taken.

Minato's mission back then was to protect Queen Sara, while the B-Rank mission in front of him was issued by Sara's mother, and at this point, Sara wasn't even the Queen of Roran.

"I'll take this mission," Mutsuki said after a moment of thought, addressing the registering ninja.

Though he might not see Naruto at this time, this task was indeed a good opportunity to boost his mission progress. If Obito performed well, he could become a small hero in a small nation like the Land of Snow.

Even if it wasn't for Obito's life mission reward, Mutsuki still wanted to take the mission to see the Dragon Vein in Roran.

This is a power capable of transcending time and space; it would be a shame not to take a look and study it.

After accepting the mission, Mutsuki returned to the Southern Border Forest and explained the situation to his disciples.

"It's just a B-Rank mission, Yumi-sensei, why didn't you take an A-Rank mission?" Obito asked, scratching his head in confusion.

Obito had already handled several A-Rank missions on the battlefield, so taking on a regular B-Rank mission felt lacking in challenge to him.

"You like taking photos of different landscapes, right? Roran is a small country that has existed for a long time, and it has a unique architecture that can only be found there," Mutsuki answered with a gentle smile.

"Really? Then this mission definitely has to be done," Obito's eyes lit up instantly, feeling deeply moved.

"You've changed so fast," Kakashi couldn't help but comment, noticing the drastic shift in Obito's attitude.

"You don't understand. It's just that I didn't realize how much Yumi-sensei cared at first," Obito replied nonchalantly.

"I think this mainly has to do with you not studying the geography of the ninja world properly," Kakashi deadpanned.

"I bet you know no more than ten countries."

"How is that possible? Kakashi, don't look down on me. It's just ten countries. I'll recite them for you now," Obito replied, getting angry. How could he not know at least ten countries? The Five Great Countries alone were five of them.

Obito quickly recited the full names of the Five Great Countries, then continued, "Land of Snow, Land of Grass, Land of Rivers, Land of Hot Water... Ro... Roran!"

"And then? That's only ten," Kakashi said, a mocking smile on his face.

Obito's face flushed red as he rapidly racked his brain, trying to think of any other countries he hadn't mentioned.

"There's also the Land of Rice Fields, eleven! Kakashi, what else do you have to say?" Obito shouted at Kakashi, having had a sudden flash of insight and remembering another country.

Clap, clap.

Kakashi clapped slowly, smiling faintly. "Obito, you're really impressive, being able to remember eleven countries, including the Five Great Countries."

Obito's face turned even redder. Even though Kakashi was praising him, Obito felt deeply insulted.

"Do you know the Land of Rain, Land of the Moon, Land of Waves, Land of Waterfalls, Land of Birds, Land of Bears...?" Kakashi suddenly rattled off a list of smaller countries.

Hearing the names of so many unfamiliar small countries, Obito's eyes showed a hint of confusion. There are so many countries in the ninja world?

"Kakashi, stop picking on Obito. He's not good at this sort of thing," Rin said with a helpless smile.

But what Rin didn't know was that her words struck Obito even harder.

"So, in Rin-chan's mind, I'm an idiot?" Obito couldn't help but squat down, drawing circles on the ground with his finger.

He wished someone could teach Kakashi a lesson; he was bullying him too much.

"Alright, everyone, get ready. We're leaving soon," Mutsuki said, stepping in just in time.

Since this was a B-Rank mission, Mutsuki didn't bring Shisui and the others along, instead leaving a Shadow Clone behind to train them.

After everything was prepared, Mutsuki and Obito set off toward Roran.

As they traveled west, their surroundings gradually changed from forest to grassland, then to desert grasslands, and finally to an endless desert.

Seeing the vast golden sands, Obito couldn't resist pulling out his camera and snapping a couple of shots.

"Last time we barely stayed for a while before encountering enemies, but this time, I can make up for it," Obito said with an excited smile. Roran, in the desert, was a pleasant surprise for him.

The first time he had seen a desert hadn't been so pleasant. They barely stopped before running into the Hidden Cloud's A and B team, and back then, he didn't even have a camera to take pictures.

"After a few days, you might start missing Konoha," Mutsuki said as he activated his Byakugan to scan the surroundings before speaking.

The desert landscape was magnificent, but after staying in it for too long, it could become uncomfortable, since everything around them looked the same and the living conditions were harsh.

Though the latter didn't matter much for ninjas, the former would make Obito quickly lose his fascination with the desert.

"Yumi-sensei, you're overestimating him. I bet by tonight, he'll be saying Konoha is way more comfortable to live in," Kakashi said calmly.

Obito glared at Kakashi, making a firm resolve in his heart. No matter how tough or exhausting the desert was, he would not complain. He couldn't let Kakashi look down on him.

After making sure Obito's curiosity was satisfied when they first entered the desert, Mutsuki sped up the journey and quickly reached Roran.

"Why are there so many tall buildings here?" Kakashi asked with a look of confusion as he gazed at Roran ahead.

The Roran in the books didn't look like this. While it was normal for information in books to be outdated, the changes seemed a bit too fast.

"So, Kakashi, you don't even know what Roran looks like? I thought you were so knowledgeable, but it turns out you only knew the name," Obito, who was taking photos, instantly turned around to mock Kakashi when he heard him speak.

Kakashi frowned slightly but didn't pay Obito any attention. Instead, he began looking around, observing his surroundings.

He noticed that Roran still had the architecture recorded in the books, but the ultra-tall buildings with the Roran style were likely newly built.

"Let's go. We need to meet with our client," Mutsuki said, taking three Kunai out of his ninja tool pouch and handing them to his disciples.

Kakashi looked at Mutsuki, a look of confusion in his eyes.

They hadn't fought since leaving Konoha, so Mutsuki wasn't worried about them lacking ninja tools. That could only mean…

"Yumi-sensei, do you also know the Flying Thunder God?" Kakashi asked.

At this point, Obito was still unsure why Mutsuki was giving them Kunai, and upon hearing Kakashi's words, he subconsciously looked at Mutsuki.

"Well, as long as you bring the kunai with you, I can move to your side at any time." Mutsuki nodded and smiled.

"Sensei, do you really not have a long-lost twin brother?" Obito asked directly.

Minato looked like Mutsuki, and both of them knew the Flying Thunder God Jutsu. They also had gentle personalities, so it was hard for Obito not to suspect that they were brothers.

After all, the Flying Thunder God Jutsu wasn't like the Great Fireball Jutsu, which any Uchiha could learn. Obito had only seen Minato use it.

It wasn't just Obito—Rin and Kakashi were also looking at Mutsuki with curious expressions. Even though Mutsuki had denied it many times, the resemblance was just too striking.

Tap!

Mutsuki tapped Obito's forehead with his index and middle fingers. "No, stop guessing. Flying Thunder God Jutsu was taught to me by Minato. I just happened to learn it."

Without Minato's explanation, it would have taken him a long time to figure it out on his own, so saying that Minato taught him was not a stretch.

"Yumi-sensei, I want to learn it too," Obito said, rubbing the spot on his forehead where he'd been tapped and grinning.

The more Obito trained with Minato, the more he wanted to learn the Flying Thunder God Jutsu. To him, this ninjutsu was incredibly sneaky.

You can try all you want, but you won't even be able to touch the hem of Minato Namikaze's clothes. However, if you show the slightest carelessness, Minato Namikaze's Kunai will be lodged in your body.

"I'll teach you when you're ready," Mutsuki replied after thinking for a moment.

Mutsuki did plan on teaching Obito the Flying Thunder God, since Obito had a natural talent for space manipulation, but he wouldn't teach him just yet.

That's because the Flying Thunder God consumes a lot of Chakra, and right now, Obito simply wouldn't be able to learn it.

It's like how no one would teach a five- or six-year-old the Great Fire Annihilation—it's not that they don't want to teach, but it's something they just can't learn at that age.

"Awesome!" Obito couldn't help but cheer, then threw a provocative glance at Kakashi.

If he learned the Flying Thunder God, Obito didn't believe Kakashi would still be able to beat him.

Kakashi looked at Mutsuki. The Flying Thunder God was indeed powerful, and he wanted to learn it too.

"You all can learn it, but this ninjutsu has special requirements. Don't be discouraged if you don't get it right away," Mutsuki said.

He did hope that all of his disciples could learn the Flying Thunder God, as it would greatly enhance both their combat power and survival ability. However, this was clearly a bit unrealistic.

In the original story, Minato had passed on the Flying Thunder God Jutsu to his bodyguards—there's no way he didn't teach it to Kakashi. It was highly likely that he did, but Kakashi couldn't learn it.

Mutsuki had tried learning the Flying Thunder God before he acquired his space manipulation abilities, so he understood the feeling—it was like being completely in the dark, unable to comprehend it at all.

However, in Mutsuki's opinion, Kakashi didn't really need the Flying Thunder God for combat. Since he could enter the Transparent World before the Constant, Kakashi would definitely be able to master the Breathing Technique to the Perfect level. At that point, his short-range bursts would be just as fast as the Flying Thunder God.

After briefly discussing the Flying Thunder God with his disciples, Mutsuki took them to meet the client for this mission, the current queen of Roran.

The current Roran Queen was a young woman who looked extremely elegant. Perhaps due to her status as queen, she had the wealth to maintain her appearance. Judging solely by her looks, Mutsuki couldn't tell that she was already a mother with children in their teens.

"According to the mission, we need to investigate Anrokuzan. Are there any specific aspects you'd like us to focus on?" After confirming their identities, Mutsuki asked.

"Please try to look into his past and any secret activities he might be involved in," Roran Queen replied.

"Isn't he the Prime Minister of your country? How could you not know anything about his past?" Kakashi asked, puzzled.

An unknown person had become the second most powerful figure under the queen.

Roran Queen wore a helpless expression and explained, "At first, he shared details about his past and claimed that he became Prime Minister by achieving great feats. But now I suspect his past may be fabricated, and that his arrival in Roran has some ulterior motives."

No matter how much the Roran Queen doubted Anrokuzan, she couldn't deny the contributions he had made to Roran. Without his help, Roran wouldn't have been able to build so many high-rise buildings, and the economy would be far worse than it is now.

Because of Anrokuzan's achievements, Roran Queen hadn't dismissed or imprisoned him directly due to her suspicions. Instead, she had brought in ninjas to investigate.

"Also, please be discreet about your investigation. Don't reveal your purpose, and don't let anyone know that I hired you," Roran Queen continued.

"Right now, many people in Roran support Anrokuzan. Exposing our investigation before finding any concrete evidence could lead to dissatisfaction among the citizens and officials."

This was one of the reasons she sought out Konoha ninjas. There were too many people in Roran who supported Anrokuzan, making it easy for the investigation to be exposed.

However, Roran Queen also understood their support—after all, Anrokuzan had indeed brought development to Roran.

Obito looked at the Roran Queen in surprise. It was his first time seeing a queen in such a tough position.

When Kazahana Sosetsu suspected Kazahana Doto of wrongdoing, he had directly sent his subordinates to capture him. But the Roran Queen, on the other hand, was worried that the investigation might get exposed.

"No problem," Mutsuki nodded, signaling that he understood.

He could understand Roran Queen's situation. Though it was called a small country, it was more like a large town, far smaller than the Land of Snow. Plus, it was located in a desolate desert, surrounded by constant warfare—life here was truly difficult.

In this situation, it was inevitable that someone who brought development and change to Roran would gain support. However, the Roran Queen had to be grateful for her caution. If she had acted rashly, it would have been her own downfall. Anrokuzan was not only a ninja but a powerful one at that.

"Could he be like Kazahana Doto, planning to take Roran for himself?" Obito speculated as they walked.

"It's hard to say before we investigate. Even the Roran Queen doesn't know," Kakashi shook his head and replied.

They hadn't even met Anrokuzan yet, so making assumptions was pointless.

Mutsuki first found an ordinary inn and then said to Kakashi and the others, "To speed up the investigation, we'll split up for now. I'll take one group, and the three of you will take another. We'll meet back here tonight to share information."

Using his Byakugan, Mutsuki could sense the powerful energy beneath Roran. He planned to go check out the Dragon Vein first.

His Sensing technique couldn't cover the entire ninja world, but it was more than sufficient to encompass all of Roran. If his disciples were in danger, Mutsuki could use the Flying Thunder God to provide support.

To prevent any accidents, Mutsuki also sent a Shadow Clone to follow Kakashi and the others as an extra layer of insurance.

After saying that, Mutsuki's figure quickly disappeared from their sight.

"Let's go. We'll observe the current state of Roran first," Kakashi said without any hesitation, immediately preparing to start the investigation.

"Why do you make it sound like you're the captain?" Obito didn't like Kakashi's commanding tone.

"Then what do you think we should do now?" Kakashi turned to Obito and asked.

Obito's momentum immediately faltered. Kakashi's question felt like he was answering a test.

After Obito didn't raise any objections, the three of them officially began their investigation.

Following Roran Queen's request, Kakashi and the others tucked away their headbands and Chunin vests, blending in as ordinary people as they observed Roran.

"Kakashi, Rin-chan, I think I've found someone who might be suspicious," Obito said, pointing at a blonde figure ahead, who seemed to be aimlessly looking around.

"I already noticed before you mentioned it," Kakashi said, slightly frowning as he observed the Konoha headband.

"Indeed, he looks like someone who stands out as suspicious," Rin agreed, following their gaze.

"Be careful. Get ready for a potential fight," Kakashi whispered.

In Kakashi's view, the blonde figure ahead had too many suspicious traits. He was only wearing a headband and didn't have a Chunin vest, which suggested he might be a Genin. But why would a Genin be alone in Roran?

"That's unlikely. He could be a Konoha ninja too," Obito instinctively felt that the person across from them might not be a threat.

"Just because someone's wearing a Konoha headband doesn't mean they're a Konoha ninja," Kakashi replied flatly.

It was very easy to counterfeit a ninja headband. With even less effort, one could simply use Transformation Jutsu.

However, Kakashi hadn't noticed any signs that the person had used Transformation Jutsu, though it was possible the other party was extremely proficient with it.

"Isn't it obvious? We could just ask," Obito said, giving Kakashi a glance. The two of them moved into a surrounding combat stance.

"Are you a Konoha ninja?" Obito asked directly.

"Isn't that obvious?" Naruto said, pointing to his headband.

"Could we see your ninja ID? Since it's a time of war, I hope you understand," Kakashi said in a deep voice.

All official Konoha ninjas had IDs, which not only recorded basic information and mission completion stats but also included anti-counterfeit features.

"Ah, what war? But I think I do have my ID on me," Naruto Uzumaki said, a bit confused by Kakashi's words, but he understood what they meant—they were also Konoha ninjas.

Naruto readily handed over his ID to Kakashi. For some reason, he felt like this white-haired masked kid looked a little familiar.

"Naruto Uzumaki, Genin, Ninja ID number 012607..." Kakashi said as he looked over Naruto's ID, his eyelid twitching uncontrollably.

Kakashi knew he would have to report the issue of the Konoha ID's anti-counterfeit technology leak to Mutsuki later that night.

In Kakashi's eyes, the ID Naruto Uzumaki handed him was a very convincing fake.

It was convincing because the ID looked identical to a real Konoha ninja's ID, with no noticeable differences in detail. However, the information on it was absurd—the ninja ID number was over twelve thousand six hundred.

Just how absurd was it? Obito had only been out of the Academy for less than a year, making him one of the latest graduates, with his ninja ID being 10886.

This meant that even if Obito was one of the top-ranked graduates from his class, Naruto's ID number would still be over 1,700 numbers higher.

The Academy clearly couldn't have graduated so many ninjas in just one year. And from the looks of it, Naruto didn't seem like a recent graduate of the Academy—he should be around fifteen or sixteen, not the usual age of a fresh graduate.

Also, there weren't many students in one year at the Academy, so if Naruto were truly a recent graduate, Obito should have recognized him.

The Uzumaki surname was also suspicious. If Kakashi remembered correctly, the only Uzumaki clan member in Konoha right now was Minato-sensei's girlfriend, Kushina Uzumaki.

The simple ID exposed too many absurd contradictions.

Kakashi didn't return the ID to Naruto Uzumaki. He gave Obito a look and silently began gathering Chakra, preparing for a fight.

Mutsuki's Shadow Clone, who had been tracking them from the shadows, showed an intrigued expression. This was getting interesting.

"By the way, do you guys know where this place is? Have you seen Mukade? I'm on a mission to capture him," Naruto asked excitedly, happy to run into fellow ninjas from his village.

"This is Roran. You came here without even knowing where it is?" Kakashi asked, momentarily unsure whether Naruto Uzumaki was genuinely clueless or just pretending to be foolish. His expression was so sincere that Kakashi couldn't tell.

"Roran? This is Roran? I thought Roran was supposed to be in ruins?" Naruto turned around, looking at the intact and even somewhat bustling town, scratching his head in confusion.

Seeing Naruto Uzumaki like this, Kakashi couldn't help but feel a strange sense of familiarity, as it reminded him of Obito's usual state.

Since Naruto Uzumaki didn't intentionally control his volume, the surrounding pedestrians couldn't help but glance over at him.

Sensing trouble, Kakashi had no choice but to lead Naruto Uzumaki to a more secluded spot. If this kept up, they would be exposed before they even began their investigation.

"By the way, you're not named Hatake, are you?" Naruto Uzumaki couldn't resist asking Kakashi as they walked.

He felt that the kid in front of him might be the illegitimate child of his sensei, Hatake Kakashi.

Kakashi nodded indifferently. The Warring States era was over, so stating a surname wasn't an issue anymore.

"Really? Kakashi sensei, you're pretty cruel, huh? You secretly had such a big kid and didn't even tell me," Naruto Uzumaki said with an indignant expression.

Kakashi: ???

Kakashi stared at Naruto Uzumaki in confusion. What does this mean? I'm my own child? Is there another Hatake Kakashi in the world?

"Haha, Kakashi, he's calling you sensei! Though, technically, you're your own son," Obito couldn't help but laugh loudly.

He thought Naruto Uzumaki was really interesting. If Naruto Uzumaki was truly a Konoha Ninja, Obito definitely wanted to be friends with him. He was just too fun.

Pfft.

Naruto Uzumaki's words made Rin unable to hold back, and she burst into laughter. She thought Naruto must know Kakashi and was acting really well—his performance was just too convincing.

Kakashi frowned as he looked at Naruto. He felt like Naruto was intentionally messing with him, pretending to be a Ninja he knew.

"Ah, Kakashi sensei, where is he?" Because of Obito's words, Naruto Uzumaki was looking around, searching for Kakashi's figure.

"Hahaha, I can't take it anymore!" Obito laughed even louder. Based on this encounter, he felt this mission was the best decision ever.

"Who are you really? Stop pretending!" Kakashi asked bluntly, unable to hold it in any longer.

He felt that if this continued, Obito would have a pile of material to laugh at him with. He couldn't stand it.

"I already gave you my Ninja ID... I'm Naruto Uzumaki," Naruto Uzumaki scratched his head in confusion and said.

"Are you referring to that flawed Ninja ID of yours? It's indeed a good counterfeit, but the data inside is full of errors," Kakashi said calmly.

"If you can't tell the truth, then we'll have to communicate the Ninja way," Kakashi said, silently pulling out a Kunai from his ninja tool pouch. By this point, they had already reached a very secluded area.

Although Naruto Uzumaki seemed harmless, the implications of this situation forced Kakashi to take it seriously.

"I really don't get what you're thinking," Naruto Uzumaki said, somewhat confused, not knowing what he had done to provoke Kakashi.

Although he had been laughing at Kakashi, when it became clear that Kakashi was about to take action, Obito immediately decided to intervene.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!"

Obito gathered a large amount of Chakra in his throat and released a massive fireball toward Naruto Uzumaki.

"Hey, hey, if you're going to attack, even if you're with Kakashi sensei, I'll still make you cry," Naruto said, effortlessly dodging the Great Fireball.

"He's fast. The opponent's strength is no joke," Kakashi thought, becoming more cautious as he observed Naruto's speed.

Realizing the opponent's strength, Kakashi focused his breathing to the extreme to enhance his abilities and then drew his White Fang Tanto, swinging it toward Naruto Uzumaki.

"Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Seeing both Kakashi and Obito making their moves, Naruto also went into action, using his massive Chakra reserves to instantly create over eighty Shadow Clones.

Boom! Boom! Boom!!

With a series of white smoke bursts, Kakashi and Obito were surrounded by numerous Shadow Clones.

At first, Kakashi thought these were just illusionary clones meant to deceive them, but after engaging, he realized that they were all real physical clones.

"Such terrifying Chakra!" Kakashi's expression grew serious. Despite creating so many Shadow Clones, Naruto still looked completely unaffected.

Kakashi pushed aside his distractions and threw himself fully into the battle, fighting against the Shadow Clones attacking him from all sides.

Obito, on the side, was also shocked by Naruto's tactic of using Shadow Clones in such a manner. It was the first time he had seen someone use so many at once.

Generally, Ninjas use Shadow Clones for gathering intelligence, and when used in battle, they typically employ them with agility and flexibility—rarely relying on them for brute force.

Rin, witnessing this, was taken aback, her mouth slightly agape. She hadn't expected that a random Ninja they encountered on the road would possess such strength.

"Orochinagi!"

Obito concentrated his breath, then gathered a large amount of Chakra in his palm. With the enhancement of Flame Breathing, he released a burst of fire Chakra.

Whoosh!!

The ferocious flames immediately engulfed most of the Naruto Shadow Clones around him, leaving behind scorched marks on the ground.

"Flash: Twofold!"

Kakashi's feet crackled with blue lightning. With the activation of his Lightning Chakra, his body surged into high-speed motion as he swung his blade, clearing out a significant number of Naruto's Shadow Clones.

Both of their performances left Naruto Uzumaki somewhat surprised. Although he didn't particularly want to fight, the fact that they could swiftly eliminate so many of his Shadow Clones showed that they were quite capable. After all, Obito and the others seemed about the same age as Konohamaru.

"Quite capable, huh?" Naruto twisted his wrist, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.

Although Naruto liked Kakashi as his sensei, Kakashi had certainly done his fair share of underhanded things.

"If you're going to blame someone, blame your father," Naruto silently muttered to himself. In an instant, he exploded with Chakra, creating another hundred clones, and then charged forward himself.

As he watched Naruto Uzumaki split off into even more Shadow Clones, Kakashi broke into a slight sweat on his forehead. He realized that the three of them might not be able to defeat Naruto Uzumaki.

"I need to make more noise, let Yumi-sensei know what's going on here," Kakashi quickly thought to himself.

They were all carrying Mutsuki's Flying Thunder God Kunai. If Mutsuki found out something was wrong, he could arrive immediately. Although Naruto Uzumaki seemed strong, Kakashi didn't think he could defeat Mutsuki.

Since Naruto Uzumaki was being so over the top, Kakashi immediately activated Transparent World, and everything around him, including himself, became transparent in his eyes. His power and perception greatly increased.

Although Kakashi could sense where the attacks were coming from, Naruto's Shadow Clones were simply too many, and their strength was not weak. With Naruto's main body causing chaos, Kakashi quickly took a punch to the face.

Rin attempted to use Water Release to help Kakashi out of his predicament, but Naruto's Rasengan dispersed her Water Release with a single blow.

Seeing Kakashi at a disadvantage, Obito couldn't afford to hold back on energy consumption anymore and immediately entered Flame Breathing Chakra Mode.

"Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!"

While Orochinagi had high power, its range was limited, so Obito opted for the wider-reaching Fire Dragon Flame Bullet.

As Chakra continually drained from his body, intense orange flames shot from Obito's mouth, quickly forming a small sea of fire that burned through large numbers of Naruto's Shadow Clones.

Obito then controlled the orange flames to attack Naruto Uzumaki from three different directions.

Since these were real clones, even his Sharingan couldn't penetrate the Shadow Clones, and he was unable to identify the real Naruto among the many clones.

Kakashi sighed in relief. Compared to his Lightning Release, Obito's Fire Release was much more conspicuous and attention-grabbing. With flames this fierce, it would only take a short time to draw attention.

"Water Release: Water Wave Hand!"

But at that moment, someone suddenly used Water Release. A massive wave of water, like a tidal wave, surged forward, instantly dousing the flames Obito had released.

Kakashi, who had just relaxed, became tense again. It seemed the enemy wasn't just one person but had reinforcements.

Looking over, Kakashi saw a Ninja wearing black combat gear, a Konoha Chunin vest, and a Konoha forehead protector, slowly walking towards them.

Kakashi felt that they had unwittingly walked into a massive plot targeting Konoha.
