- Felix -
We sat like that for some time before I tapped Lalatina's hip. As much as I wanted to stay like this, I did have things I needed to do. First and foremost was releasing Saeko and Raiden from my Infinity Space, now that they had been healed inside of it.
"Mou, already, Master?" Lalatina whined.
"Unfortunately."
Lalatina reluctantly got up off my lap, though in the process of doing so she leaned upwards towards my face as she pursed her lips.
I smiled lightly at her neediness, but complied nonetheless, giving her a quick peck on the lips. I could feel Lalatina's lips curl up into the kiss before I pulled back. She quickly hopped up off my lap. "Thanks for the quick cuddle and kiss, Master! Now I've recharged my batteries!"
I blinked in confusion. "Your batteries?"
Lalatina nodded as if it were obvious. "My Master batteries!"
My lips twitched as I pretended to understand what that meant. "...I see. On your way out could you send Damrada over by the way?"
Damrada's tour with Moss seemed to be over, seeing as the two of them were just hanging around in one place.
I'm guessing they were catching up or something. Damrada made it out to seem like they were ancient shonen rivals, always fighting each other with none getting the upper hand. I suppose that just went to show just how special even Moss was among Daemon kind. To be able to take on a Saint like Damrada, even if Damrada would have been weaker than he was now, was no small feat. Especially since Moss would not have had a proper vessel to incarnate into, or a name. He was taking on Damrada as just an Arch Daemon, with his EP restricted to 200,000. That's pretty crazy when you think about it.
The fact that Damrada couldn't beat him could either be a total skill issue on his part, or Moss was simply built different.
I hadn't seen Moss fight much so I didn't know a whole lot of his combat ability, only that Arcueid looked upon him highly, which was very rare for her.
"Feel free to tell him that I can see him after he's done with what he's doing." I didn't want to be a dick and interrupt their conversation.
Lalatina grinned and waved. "No problem!" Just before Lalatina was about to leave, she paused. "Is it fine if I visit the Kingdom of Coleus sometime, Master?" Lalatina asked.
I raised a brow. It wasn't often that she requested something. "The Kingdom of Coleus? That does sound familiar." As I brought the kingdom to the forefront of my mind Othinus interrupted me.
"It is the kingdom that Rimuru Tempest visited some time ago on the request of the former Guildmaster of the Free Guild, Yuuki Kagurazaka."
'Ah, that's right!'
I remember Rimuru telling me about his side quests some time back, meeting Hiiro and going to the Kingdom of Raja was actually another so-called side quest of his.
For the Kingdom of Coleus, back when Yuuki and Rimuru were friendly, when neither I nor Rimuru suspected him of anything sketchy, Yuuki requested Rimuru to handle some business that was going on in the Kingdom of Coleus.
The king had reached an older age and was going to be passing soon, so of course there was a battle for succession which the Free Guild was forced to get involved with due to the local branch in the Kingdom of Coleus basically going rogue and declaring allegiance to one of the princes.
Normally, the Free Guild is supposed to be an impartial force, so a branch declaring allegiance to the prince was very concerning. If allowed to spread, it would damage the reputation of the Free Guild, and so Yuuki wanted it handled right away.
Despite what I thought about him, I would never deny that he wasn't competent when it came to his job as the Guildmaster of the Free Guild. The main thing that led to his early demise was his overconfidence in his abilities as well as the copious amounts of misinformation he must have had. There's a reason I'm being so meticulous about being well informed. Despite my confidence in myself, I've seen what's happened to those who act before they know the full picture.
Rimuru had accepted the request from Yuuki, of course. He genuinely liked Yuuki back then and saw him as a close friend. Not to mention he felt like he should help Yuuki due to Shizu's emotions that bled into him a little bit.
He went under a disguise, of course, that made him look like a Human, but once he got there, he realized that things weren't quite as they seemed. He met the princess who was blind and cursed.
However, even if she did not have eyes, she could see Mount Tai! She had a Unique Skill similar to Milim Eye that allowed her to gaze into the true nature of others. She immediately realized that Rimuru was a Majin, though Rimuru said that she still acted normally.
Rimuru went through a whole series of events where he played the hero. He solved the conspiracy that was going on, which was pretty similar to what happened in the Kingdom of Raja. The dying king summoned two Arch Daemons, hoping to preserve his life.
What was going through his mind, I don't understand, but I suppose most people who are going to die soon would act rather recklessly to preserve their lives.
Of course, the Daemons were under Lalatina's lineage and acted against her orders in the hopes that she would reward them. It turns out the princess of Coleus was another excellent vessel for Lalatina, just like Towa was. So they planned everything so that the princess would end up in Lalatina's hands.
Lalatina ended up being summoned and inhabited the princess's body, I haven't heard Lalatina perspective on things, but Rimuru said she just scolded her subordinates and had a duel with Luminous who showed up to counteract Lalatina's summoning, since Luminous considered the West her domain. In the end, Lalatina decided to retreat for whatever reason, but she killed the two Arch Daemons before doing so. Arch Daemons that could likely delete kingdoms off the map.
This world really was something else, but I wasn't one to talk when I could do much, much more than that.
"I thought you were finished with the Kingdom of Coleus?" I asked.
A mischievous smile formed on Lalatina's face. "I am! I have no need for them anymore. However, I am curious about their princess. I had inhabited her for only a short time, yet my energy will still have an influence on her. I am rather curious as to what those effects are."
I nodded. "Sure then. Just let me know when you leave."
Lalatina nodded. "Thanks! I'll leave now. See ya later, Master!"
I waved back. "See ya." With that, Lalatina vanished.
"Well that was an enjoyable pastime." I mumbled aloud.
I shook my head, it was time to release Saeko and Raiden.
After their fight with that Insectar, Razul, both were rather worn out, both physically and spiritually. I already knew Razul would be a very tough foe for them, even outnumbered. Razul was strong. The biggest challenge was his armor with extremely bullshit levels of Magic Resistance. 99% of what Raiden and Saeko threw at him just bounced off of him harmlessly. Only when the two managed to touch the Ultimate level did they wound and defeat him.
The battle had pushed them to their very limits, forcing them to tap into every ounce of strength, skill, and resolve they possessed. Both of them gained new Unique Skills which took a lot out of them, not to mention the energy and power they exerted in the fight itself. Both went Plus Ultra, if you will.
Both of their Unique Skills are uniquely suited for them as well. I'm pretty curious about how each will make use of them. Saeko's is basically a temporary power up through spiritualization, while Raiden's is basically the ultimate maid Skill that allows her to achieve victory as long as it's possible and she believes it's possible.
Both were powerful and suited their wielders.
They had been resting in my Infinity Space where I had been feeding them energy, hastening their recovery process dramatically.
I opened a portal to my Infinity Space, the familiar swirling void revealing itself. Stepping through, I was greeted by the serene environment I had crafted, a tranquil, floating expanse of greenery surrounded by the endless expanse of stars. I had designed it to be like this. Why? Because it looked cool of course.
I don't often enter my Infinity Space, but seeing as both Raiden and Saeko were already awake within my Infinity Space, it would be rather rude to just fling them out when they are in the middle of meditating. Both seemed to have reached a state of enlightenment, not dissimilar to the one that Damrada seemed to have reached in the middle of our battle.
Though Saeko's and Raiden's was weaker than Damrada's. That guy managed to reach a new peak after focusing up a bit, whereas Saeko and Raiden seemed to just have an easier time focusing.
In the center of this space, Saeko and Raiden lay resting. Saeko sat cross-legged, her sword resting across her lap. An excited smile spread across her lips as she spotted me. Raiden was similarly sat, cross-legged with her Tachi laying across her lap, small flickers of lightning fading in and out of existence around her.
Both were back to peak condition. In fact, they had surpassed their old peak condition. Their combined presence radiated far more strength now.
It seems they had managed to control their new power pretty quickly. Thanks to the fight with Razul, even though they got new Unique Skills which costed them energy, they still were in the net positive when it came to total EP.
"Felix-sama!" Saeko called out.
"Master." Raiden said in a calm tone of voice, though she couldn't quite hide the excitement shining in her eyes. Not to mention Lover allowed me to read her like an open book. It really was an unfair Skill when it came to matters of the heart.
Both stood up as they greeted me, with Saeko sheathing her weapon on her back and Raiden returning her Tachi to the spatial dimension within her body that she stored it in.
"Hey there you two. It seems you've both recovered rather well."
Saeko smirked proudly. "Of course, Felix-sama! With your essence nurturing us, there is nothing that we cannot do!"
My lips twitched at the phrasing of Saeko's words. Raiden also looked at Saeko with a deadpan.
She was getting more expressive as time went on, which made me happy. Raiden's start when it came to ego and strength was lower than basically all my other direct subordinates, except perhaps Saeko.
But Saeko already had a solid ego when we met, so the power advantage Raiden had at the start was quickly negated. But as time has gone on, Raiden's ego has developed and she's grown into her own person.
I was worried that I was holding her back, that I was somehow stopping her from reaching her full potential by giving her whatever she asked for and not rushing her to make progress but it seems all that worrying was for naught.
Raiden turned to look at me, she quickly bowed. "I apologize for the trouble I caused you, Master." She said apologetically.
I waved her off. "It was no trouble. If I can't even take care of my adorable lovers, then why do I even have all this power?"
Raiden's lips twitched as she fought to hold off her smile, Saeko did no such thing as her grin grew wider.
"Thank you, Felix-sama!"
"How are you two feeling now?"
The physical effects of their fight with Razul may have been gone, but I couldn't take away the mental effects that may have lingered. Well maybe I could, but I wouldn't.
Saeko's lips pursed as her fists clenched. She took a deep breath. "I-I am glad that we succeeded, that we did not disappoint you, but I'm angry that I almost failed." Saeko admitted honestly.
Raiden nodded. "If it were not for the sudden increase in power… I fear that even with all that I had learned from Sir Middray, with all the training I have done, it all would have been insufficient to complete my duties as your maid and fulfill your orders." Raiden said with disappointment in her eyes, disappointment in herself I could tell.
Even if I didn't think she should be disappointed in herself at all, I could still empathize with her position.
She had been training incredibly hard for a long, long time. Training that only became more intense once she started learning under Middray, and yet that almost wasn't enough.
I suppose that went to show just how scary racial advantages and sheer talent could be. Though to be fair, Razul was far older than both Saeko and Raiden. It wasn't a fair match, but they were still being hard on themselves.
It seems the fact that they almost lost hit them pretty hard. I knew it would be a hard battle for both of them, but I believed in them enough that I still sent them against Razul in the hopes that they could grow from the challenge.
"So, what do you want to do about it?" I asked, wanting for them to make their own decisions.
"I want to be stronger." Saeko stated with conviction.
"I wish to serve you to the best of my ability." Raiden responded.
I smiled. I didn't expect them to be down for long. "Then I might have just the thing to help you."
They were ready for a Life Reconstruction now. If they could take advantage of the opportunity, it may just be enough for them to acquire Divinity of their own which would be a qualitative change in their existence.
Acquiring Divinity was likely the biggest evolution either of them would go through. It was an even bigger change than becoming a True Demon Lord. In my case I became a True Demon Lord and gained Divinity at the same time.
Gaining Divinity would allow them to elevate their attacks to a level they likely couldn't even imagine. You would step into the domain of the so-called "gods" at that point; being able to affect things at the Ultimate level if you tried hard enough.
As for an Ultimate Skill? Well, that would be up to them. Othinus would of course assist them in its creation if they were ready, but if they weren't ready, forcing it would only create an Ultimate Skill that failed to reach its true potential.
Something similar to an Ultimate Enchantment, I imagine. Powerful, but not as powerful as it could be if it was born the natural way, through desire and willpower. Even Damrada was subject to this, as while he could fight at the Ultimate level due to his Enchantment and his knowledge, if he acquired an Ultimate Skill on his own, he'd be leagues stronger.
It was likely why Tatsuya Kondou managed to defeat him with relative ease, or at least that's what Damrada said. Kondou had an Ultimate Skill of his own putting him on a different level than someone like Damrada who only had an Ultimate Enchantment. Both were vastly powerful, but there was a clear difference between the two.
Saeko's eyes lit up. "As expected of you, Felix-sama!"
Raiden looked at me with a gaze full of expectation, as if she already expected me to have some bullshit method to power them up. Just what kind of picture did these two have of me in their minds?
"They believe that you can do no wrong, and that your knowledge and power are both limitless, and that is just a small portion of what they think." Othinus said.
I wasn't going to think about that further.
"The method won't be easy, your soul will be strained and you'll have to fight off the wills of thousands of other souls, each hellbent on some kind of retribution. Before your fight with Razul, I wasn't sure if you two were ready, but now, you just might be." I said with a smile.
Fighting off the wills of tens of thousands of High Humans was not going to be easy. It's why I only had Arcueid, Megumin, and Lalatina go through with it up until this point, as I was confident they would succeed. The rest of my subordinates were far more inexperienced, so I didn't want to risk it. The only one amongst my younger subordinates that could have possibly succeeded right off the bat was Sukuna, due to his history and experience.
Sukuna might be ready as he is now, but I still wanted to play it safe with him, and as for Kurumi, I still felt she had some room to grow before plateauing at her current level. Sukuna and Kurumi were strong, don't get me wrong, but I felt like they could grow more, Sukuna especially.
Kurumi was practically there, I might bring the process up to her and let her decide.
Sukuna though; he was the big bad villain for a shonen manga, he was the boogeyman of the Jujutsu World, he had flayed an Arch Dragon, and yet I still knew he was likely capable of more. I had a feeling his rivalry with Zegion was what would push him to his limits. Zegion had insane potential, and with the minor Adapter integrated into his body, Sukuna did as well.
His variant functioned more passively than mine and just refined him further every time he encountered some new element or was pushed, which suited him just fine.
Kurumi also had tremendous potential. Her EP and overall strength could increase proportionally to how strong the tamed beasts in her tail were.
As for Ingvild, I didn't think she was the kind of person who would want to grow stronger in this kind of way. Not to mention she was a gentle girl. She was already strong enough at this point.
She could fight Saints to a standstill if she really went all out. Compared to her home world, she was easily in the same category as those so-called Super Devils, a Transcendent being no one in that world wanted to mess with. Though, from what I know, Sirzechs would probably scale higher.
Right now, both Saeko and Raiden were likely as strong as they would get for a long, long time. Every individual had a certain potential, and at some point that potential is reached.
After that it gets far harder to get stronger. You could put in a good amount of effort, but that effort would give you minimal returns compared to what it would have in the past. Middray was stuck at that stage. He had reached his theoretical limit and was now pushing beyond that at a very slow pace.
I was in a similar situation, but I have various methods to push past my potential. The Harvest Festival, Dragon Factors, etc. All of those things pushed my potential higher and higher.
Now my soul was constantly being refined with Brahma, making it so my potential would keep expanding, if at a slow pace.
Now was the perfect time to increase Saeko and Raiden's upper limit.
Saeko looked me in the eyes. "I'm ready, Felix-sama!"
"As am I, Master." Raiden said, determination shining in both of their eyes.
I smiled. "I wouldn't offer it if you weren't ready, but before that, why don't you two go get more familiar with your new level of power? The both of you have grown quite a bit, and while the two of you seem to have used your time here rather well, seeing your power in practice will be helpful."
It's why I was so eager to have that spar with Milim. With Othinus, I knew controlling and using my power wouldn't be an issue. It hadn't ever been an issue in the first place, but the amount I understood my own power grew from that spar.
The same could be said to the recently enlightened Damrada. If he didn't get a chance to test out all the ideas that were no doubt running through his head, then his burst of enlightenment wouldn't have meant anything. In the end, practice did make perfect.
Damrada had proven that even a minor shift in focus and intention could lead to a breakthrough, and I wanted the same for these two.
Raiden bowed. "As you wish, Master."
Saeko pouted but also nodded. "If you think so!" Saeko's excitement was palpable, her fingers twitching as if itching to draw her sword.
"Now how about a reward? The two of you have worked rather hard and deserve something."
"We were merely fulfilling your orders, Master. There is no need for such a thing." Raiden stated.
Saeko nodded along. "You're already giving us the opportunity to grow more powerful, Felix-sama! That's something many majin can only dream of, that is reward enough." Saeko said, referring to the Life Reconstruction I had mentioned.
I waved them off. "Nonsense. You two did incredibly well seeing as I put you in a rather unfair situation now that I look back on it. That deserves a reward." I know that the two of them were rather eager for growth, but I'm sure I could have instigated such a thing in a much more tolerable and gradual way. I believed that they would succeed and they were being monitored so that, in case the unexpected happened, they wouldn't be harmed, but looking at it from their perspective, it was pretty unfair of me to do that to them.
"You did no such thing, Master. You were looking out for our best interest by placing us against Razul." Raiden defended me.
Saeko nodded along. "Umu! There is no need to apologize, Felix-sama!"
"Well I'm glad that you see it that way. That still doesn't change the fact that I think you two deserve rewards. Sukuna and Kurumi will also be having their requests met."
Sukuna and Kurumi may not have had a mentally and physically straining battle like Raiden and Saeko had, but they still did excellent. I didn't want to take them for granted, rewarding them with what they wanted was a good way of showing that I recognized their efforts and appreciated them.
Raiden pursed her lips before nodding. "Very well. It is not my place to question you further, Master." Raiden said with a bow.
"Felix-sama knows best. If you think we should be further rewarded then that's that!" Saeko said with a nod.
"I'm glad you two understand, so what do you two want?" I asked.
Both of them already had all of their worldly desires met. They generally wanted for nothing, whether it was clothing, food, entertainment, and even most of the Arts and Magics in the rewards center were not off limits for them.
They both had powerful weapons, both at the Legend Grade and I didn't want to forcefully elevate them to the God Grade, since that would happen naturally as Raiden and Saeko grew stronger.
"If I may…" Raiden began. "Would it be possible for me to receive a portion of land in which I may act as I please? Somewhere I may fly around without worrying about harming the environment or other living beings."
I blinked at the request. I wasn't expecting something like that, Raiden hadn't given off any hints that she was uncomfortable and wanted more "free room".
Raiden seemingly sensed my worry as she spoke up. "I am content as I am now, but I wish to explore my draconic heritage more. Sir Middray spoke that spending more time in my humanoid form was influencing my draconic instincts, preventing me from developing as a Dragon properly should." I could read between the lines well enough, Raiden wanted to use the land I'd give her as her "playground" similar to how Arch Daemons are given domains within the Daemon Realm by their respective Primordials to act as their "playgrounds".
"Huh, that makes sense." I mused out loud. And it wasn't a big ask at all, I had quite a bit of land under me, a good chunk of it was going unused, though Arcuied was working to make use of every little resource that was available. That was a work in progress though. There was a reason I could afford to just give Sasha a decent bit of land as a hiring bonus; I had plenty of land to give.
"I planned to make use of the training dimensions for such a thing, however if you deem it necessary to reward me that is what I wish for." Raiden stated.
Raiden wasn't quite a Spiritual Lifeform just yet, but that didn't mean her Spirit didn't have an influence on her soul and mind. Spending so much time in her humanoid form perhaps was making her think more as a normal "human" than as a Dragon.
Raiden was strong, but one thing that I noticed was that while she was a Dragon, she rarely acted as one. That pride that Dragons were known for was rare from her. The only times I remember her actually acting draconic was when she was in her Dragon form. That's when I could feel the roaring pride from within her, I suppose that's when she let herself loosen up.
"Consider it done." I responded after a moment.
Raiden bowed. "Thank you, Master."
I still wasn't quite satisfied with that, seeing as I was just giving her something she could have just as easily asked for, but knowing Raiden, if I insisted on her asking for more, she would just choose something she thought wouldn't trouble me. Instead I'll come up with something on my own for her.
"And for you, Saeko?" I asked.
Saeko looked thoughtful for a moment before she seemed to have her "aha" moment. "Cooking lessons!"
I raised a brow. "Cooking lessons?"
Saeko nodded smugly. "Umu! Luminous and her chefs taught me much. My progress in the art of cooking has progressed, but I am not satisfied! I wish for my food to reach the very heavens itself! Only such dishes are truly worthy of you, Felix-sama!" Saeko said with a nod.
I looked at her weirdly before shaking my head. I suppose it was normal for all people of a certain level of power to have some… quirks.
Surprisingly, Luminous had indeed managed to accomplish a feat that I deemed impossible: she managed to help teach Saeko how to cook a proper meal. Of course, Luminous had her chefs help, but the driving force was Luminous according to Saeko.
Maybe I'll have to get Luminous to cook me something at some point.
Saeko used to be able to cook incredibly well. Her food was practically divine and reached the levels of being able to give foodgasms like the ones that happened in Food Wars, but she would rely on her Unique Skill: Cook as a crutch to do that. Without Cook, Saeko's dishes would taste as bad as they looked.
I was curious how far Saeko could go when it came to cooking now that I knew it was indeed possible for her to make good stuff without her Unique Skill.
"Alright, I'll arrange something." I didn't really have any connections to any world renowned chefs, but I did know people who did. I'll have to ask Luminous if she can help me out.
"Thank you, Felix-sama!" Saeko said with an excited smile.
I smiled back at one of my oldest companions. "It's no problem. You could have asked for something like that any time, you know?"
Saeko nodded. "I know! But I hadn't thought of it until just now!" Saeko said with a grin.
I rolled my eyes at the ditz. "Of course you didn't."
Seeing as our conversation was over, Saeko spoke up. "Felix-sama, may I spar with Raiden? I'd like to test how well our strengths complement each other now."
That is what I'd been hinting at earlier when I told them to get used to their new Skills. I'm glad Saeko picked up on that. Well, that or she just wanted to spar with Raiden. From what I knew, the two haven't fought in some time, though they have fought many times in the past as the two companions who had been with me for the longest period of time.
Raiden tilted her head slightly, her composed demeanor not faltering, though a faint smirk graced her lips. "I would not mind that, Master. It would be an excellent opportunity to hone our abilities and improve synergy."
I chuckled softly. "You don't need to ask me. I'll send you two away then." I said as I snapped my fingers, sending them to one of the training grounds that could handle their power.
I'm sure their fight would be something to watch.
'Could you record it, Othinus?'
The fight would be in one of the dimensions I created and modified with Small World, so I did retain some authority over it, and by extension, Othinus did as well.
"As you wish, Master."
As I walked forward, a gate formed in front of me, transporting me out of my Infinity Space and back to my study.
Now with that done, I suppose I ought to check on Kurumi and then later on Sukuna; see what they want as a reward. Neither of them have really asked for anything at all ever since they started serving me. All of my subordinates are being paid of course, but Kurumi only really spends money on some art supplies, while Sukuna has only spent money on purchasing better clothing from Shuna.
I did want to see all of the various art pieces that Kurumi had created, but ever since the visit to Sarion where I learned about that hobby of hers, I've gotten rather busy very quickly, though I had still made sure to ask about her artwork and take a look at some of her works. But I didn't get any deep dive explanations from her.
Now that the big event that I had been preparing for is over, I should have a lot more free time to do what I want to do. The Eastern Empire isn't going to attack for a few months at least, and all the preparations that are left for me to do is just speak with some people. The rest is mostly about strengthening my military and maintaining alliances.
Perhaps after I get some of the things I want to do out of the way, I'll finally go and visit that world I'd been wanting to visit.
Yeah, that's what I'll do. I was rather interested in that world since I was curious about how the lore behind it would have mixed with Veldanava and his Creation.
The Absolute Being is said to have been responsible for creating countless universes in the lore of the world I want to visit. I wonder just how true that is.
Solo Leveling may not have seemed like it, but it did have some powerful figures in it. The Rulers and the Monarchs couldn't even afford to materialize since their presence would shatter Earth into pieces which went to show that they were powerful.
As I was internally musing, I felt Damrada approach the door to this room. I wasn't paying attention to what was happening within the palace, so I didn't sense his approach beforehand.
Before Damrada even knocked on the door I called out to him. "Come in, Damrada!"
After a few moments the door opened, and in came Damrada. He seemed to be doing better than when I teleported him away. He may have looked fine, but thanks to the soul corridor between us, I could tell he was a bit shaken up, which was normal, even to a Saint like him.
He had basically fully committed to betraying his former master. Even if it was under said master's orders, something like that was probably still pretty tough to do. I could imagine any of my devoted lovers/subordinates being rather destroyed in a similar situation as well. I knew full well how loved I was and how devoted they were to me.
What could I say? Rimuru was right when he called me a lucky bastard, I knew that full well.
While Damrada's relationship was different than the one I shared with my lovers, he was no less devoted than they were, so I can imagine even if he didn't show it, he was still pretty out of it.
What made people like him different from the rest was his ability to brush past and grow from those kinds of things.
He was practically acting as if nothing was wrong now. "Lord Felix." He greeted me with a bow.
"Sup Damrada." I said as I waved him over. I gestured to the seat on the other side of the table.
He quickly took his seat.
"So, how was the tour?" I started with.
"It was very informative. Both my tour guides answered all the questions I had." Damrada responded.
"Hmm, Lalatina and Moss, right?"
Damrada's lips twitched. "Indeed… Lalatina and Moss. I was not aware that you had not just one, but three Primordials serving under you." Damrada said with an exhausted sigh.
I smirked. "I wanted to surprise you. It's always pretty funny when basically everyone has the same reaction to that."
Damrada sighed. "Of course it is amusing to you."
"So, what did you think?" I asked curiously.
"I have not gotten the chance to meet many of your subordinates, however the ones that I have had the pleasure of meeting have all been very accommodating, even Moss." Damrada praised subtly. "It was rather astonishing to see Violet act in such a tame fashion. I have heard stories of her torturing the souls of any who even speak to her out of turn, and yet she seemed perfectly at ease when I spoke to her."
Ah, right. Lalatina was pretty brutal in the past, wasn't she? Arcueid and Megumin were too… none of them could be said to be "good" people. Each likely had obscenely high kill counts, but I couldn't find myself caring about that.
Perhaps that made me a bad person. In fact, I probably was pretty morally dark on most people's scales, but I am who I am. What mattered to me was how someone acted and treated me, and I would repay that. It was selfishness to the max.
"People change." I responded simply.
Damrada nodded. "That is true I suppose. Just how did you manage to recruit those three Primordials? Emperor Rudra had made many attempts to recruit Blanc for his game, however he failed every time. She desired no material items, whether it be political power, equipment, forbidden spells, none of it attracted her."
I raised a brow. I suppose it would make sense that Rudra would make the attempt to recruit Arcueid for his game; he'd be foolish not to. She literally used to indirectly reside in his territory due to the gate connecting her domain of the Daemon Realm to the Cardinal World.
"Well, during my Harvest Festival I decided to summon a Daemon to be my subordinate. She said that she felt my summoning as I would have previously summoned one of her dependents, but realizing that I was going through a Harvest Festival, she decided to hijack the summoning ritual and appeared in front of me as she was curious. After that, the rest is history."
Damrada nodded. "I see. And what of the other two?"
"Megumin and Lalatina both ended up under me thanks to Arcueid as well. Arcueid wanted to recruit useful subordinates for me, so she went and got those two."
"You truly are a lucky man, Felix." Damrada said with a twitch of his lips. I had a feeling he was getting fed up with all of the rather absurd things that have taken place around me. I was self aware enough to realize just how abnormal I and my entire situation was.
"What else did you think?"
Damrada looked thoughtful for a moment before he answered. "If I am being honest, it was all rather impressive. I did not expect the vast infrastructure that Azeroth possessed. I was acutely aware of what this kingdom was like under Clayman's reign due to my… connections with him and his friends."
"I'm glad to hear that. Arcueid has been putting in a lot of work to make this place the best that it can be."
I most definitely couldn't take credit for all of Arcueid's work. From an outside point of view, I could be considered an extremely hands off ruler, on the border of incompetent, but it works. It was all rather heartwarming that she wasn't even doing everything she was for herself. No, she was doing it for me.
She really was a good girl.
That was excluding the absolute capitalist methods she initially wanted to push forward until I asked her to make things a bit more fair to my people. I didn't want them to just be slaves working for some fabricated currency just to have the chance to enjoy their lives. There was enough of that on Earth.

Author's Note:
Sup everyone, back with another chapter of Daemon. We finish up the bonding scene with Lalatina, with her wanting to be a little gremlin and cause some chaos in an old pet project of hers. For those of you who haven't watched the spin off it's basically as I wrote it above. Then Raiden and Saeko are finally released. It's been quite a few chapters since they were stored away, but in story time it hasn't even been a day so it's important to remember that.
I tried to show off what they were feeling after their big battle through Felix's pov since I didn't want to have two new povs just for that, felt like a waste so hopefully I was still able to get it all across.
Then Damrada shows up and shares some of what he thought of everything.
Anyways, thanks for reading, peace.
Thanks to @Salante and @Flowerman for beta'ing this chapter.
