Before Tara could react, his yet-to-be-formed body became completely immobile. Even his connection to the Dark Dimension was intermittently severed.
"Wait! What is this? A sealing technique? Sealing me is useless… Ugh!" Tara's voice echoed throughout the mirror dimension, but before he could finish his sentence, his body began to spin and was promptly sealed inside a small jar.
Tara's insight was sharp; at least, he could identify the method Robert was using. However, despite recognizing that he was being sealed, Tara couldn't figure out the exact technique or how to break free from it.
Panic surged within Tara, not because the sealing would kill him, but because of the memories it brought back. After arriving on Earth from the Dark Dimension years ago, Tara had been sealed for a long time. That sealing had not only stripped him of his freedom but had also weakened his strength, reducing him to the frail state he had been in until recently.
Like anyone who has experienced such confinement, Tara had a deep aversion to being sealed again. But regardless of his feelings, he was powerless against the magic sealing technique. He couldn't even budge the jar that imprisoned him.
Soon, the jar quieted down, and all eyes were on it. Even those familiar with the sealing technique were amazed by the display.
"What kind of sealing method is this?" Dr. Doom's eyes gleamed with interest. This technique seemed far more powerful than the methods used by the students of Kamar-Taj. Just moments ago, they had struggled to seal Generals Manny and Razzo. If they had access to a technique like the Magic Seal Wave, Kamar-Taj would have an easier time dealing with dimensional entities in the future.
Of course, only Doom thought this way. The students of Kamar-Taj were already well aware of Robert's temperament and power. Doom, however, knew only of Robert's strength, not his personality.
At the same time, the dark energy from the Dark Dimension, now like a headless fly, drifted aimlessly through the mirror dimension, unable to locate Tara's presence. Since this wasn't a normal Earth dimension, Earth's forces couldn't manifest here to dispel the Dark Dimension's energy.
"Move me to another layer of space. And take this jar with you..." Robert said, casting a long glance at the drifting Dark Dimension energy before addressing Kaecilius and the Kamar-Taj students.
"Understood." Kaecilius responded, and with the help of the other students, he transported Robert and the jar to a separate space.
With Robert and the jar now completely gone, the Dark Dimension's energy, having lost track of Tara, began to rampage within the mirror dimension.
"Honestly, you got off easy!" Robert muttered in frustration as he stared at the jar containing Tara. However, sensing the increasing instability within the mirror dimension, Robert wasted no time. He gathered a terrifying energy blast in his hands.
"Boom!" In an instant, the jar and Tara inside were obliterated by the energy blast, turning into dust and disappearing from the mirror dimension.
With a loud "crack," the mirror dimension shattered at the same moment Tara died, returning everyone to the normal space of Earth, including the sealed Manny and Razzo.
"Be careful! Don't let them escape!" Kaecilius shouted urgently to the other Kamar-Taj students.
Just then, Earth's dimensional forces surged again, directly wiping out the lingering dark energy from the Dark Dimension.
This was the first time Earth's dimensional consciousness had taken such an aggressive stance, likely due to the Dark Dimension's previous attempt to swallow Earth whole. Earth's dimensional consciousness could not tolerate such a threat to its existence.
Although expelling the dark energy required extra energy, Earth's dimensional consciousness acted decisively, eliminating the Dark Dimension's influence entirely.
With that, Robert no longer needed to use the Magic Seal Wave against Generals Manny and Razzo. He fired two powerful energy blasts, destroying their bodies just as they were beginning to break free from their seals.
As their bodies exploded, two more streams of dark energy from the Dark Dimension surged to Earth, attempting to revive the two generals in accordance with pre-established rules.
But with a swift "hiss," Earth's dimensional consciousness struck again, obliterating the newly formed dark energies.
"Boom!" At the same time, Robert, seeing that the Dark Dimension's forces were gone, decisively obliterated Manny and Razzo's bodies until nothing remained.
With the deaths of Manny and Razzo, and the defeat of the Dark Elves and the Shadow Legion, it seemed Earth's crisis had finally passed.
However, the toll was heavy. Earth had suffered significant losses, and even Clark's reputation among many common Earthlings had taken a hit.
Though Clark had worked tirelessly to save as many people as possible during the dark crisis, he couldn't save everyone. Despite many witnessing his heroic efforts, his once god-like image had begun to waver.
Most people didn't realize how overwhelmed Clark had been. Even his extraordinary efforts had mitigated what would have been a far worse death toll. Without Clark's intervention, the number of casualties would have risen exponentially.
In comparison, figures like Zeus, the King of the Gods from Olympus, or Odin, the All-Father of Asgard, wouldn't have performed any better in the same circumstances. But the average person couldn't understand this. All they saw was that the seemingly invincible Superman hadn't managed to save everyone, which was enough to damage his reputation.
Moreover, the Avengers were also facing intense scrutiny. Unlike Clark, who had been seen trying to save people in the dark, no one had witnessed the Avengers in action during the crisis. It was as if they had disappeared entirely.
Robert and the others had been fighting the Dark Elves and the Shadow Legion far from public view, so the common people had no idea what the Avengers were doing or what dangers they had faced. All they knew was that the Avengers, supposedly Earth's protectors, had been missing in action.
"Finally, it's over!" Susan Stone breathed a sigh of relief after seeing the complete destruction of the Shadow Legion.
Susan felt as if the Shadow Legion had been a constant thorn in her side. Even before she gained her extraordinary powers, she had encountered them. And after joining the Avengers, they had continued to be a source of trouble, escalating from minor skirmishes with Shadow Legion soldiers to full-blown battles with their generals.
But now, with both the generals and the leader of the Shadow Legion dead, and as long as the Dark Dimension didn't invade Earth again, the Shadow Legion was truly gone. Susan felt a sense of relief.
"Yeah, this event will definitely have a huge impact." Lorna nodded in agreement, feeling a tinge of sorrow. "I wonder how many innocent people died this time…"
"Thanks to you, the darkness dissipated from Earth. Without your efforts, we wouldn't have been able to defeat the Dark Elves and the Shadow Legion so easily. The death toll would've been far worse, and the Earth might not have survived this crisis…" Robert praised Lorna, his gratitude evident.
"We likely heard the voice of Earth's dimensional consciousness urging us to drive away the darkness as quickly as possible. The situation must have been dire," Lorna said softly, her gaze flickering as she recalled the strange occurrence she experienced while using the Reality Stone. She didn't fully understand what had happened, but she had a vague feeling that something had intervened to save her from the stone's backlash.
"The Reality Stone?" Robert suddenly remembered one of the main culprits behind Earth's recent crisis and looked at Lorna with concern. "It's not still inside you, is it?"
"No, it was removed when I arrived at Kamar-Taj. We didn't bring it here because we were worried something might happen, so we left it there…" Lorna shook her head, explaining softly.
"Kamar-Taj has special magical wards that keep the Reality Stone in a stable state, preventing it from re-entering my body. It's now more like an ordinary stone."
"It's still at Kamar-Taj?" Robert raised an eyebrow and glanced at the Kamar-Taj students. Most of them avoided his gaze, except for Doom.
"Sayian, about that sealing technique you used earlier…" Doom started to speak, but Robert suddenly turned his head.
Robert's gaze landed on the frozen body of Algrim. Earlier, Algrim had sought death and had not resisted when encased in ice. Even Susan and the others thought Algrim had already died.
However, it wasn't until now that Algrim's life force finally extinguished, and his energy completely dissipated, marking the true end of his life.
At that same moment, a disturbance rippled through the void, and a terrifying aura began to surge.
Just as the Avengers thought the dark invasion was over, the Dark Elf warship that Malekith had commanded suddenly came to life.
This was a failsafe Malekith had set up long before he acquired the Reality Stone. If the Dark Elves were wiped out, the warship was programmed to detonate, taking Earth with it as a final act of revenge.
Although Malekith and the Dark Elves had died early in the conflict, Algrim, the Cursed Warrior, had only just passed away. His death triggered the doomsday program that Malekith had left behind.
"Huh?!" Sensing the surge of energy in the void, Robert realized there was no time to alert the Kamar-Taj students to reopen the mirror dimension. Without hesitation, he acted.
With a "swish," Robert vanished from where he stood and reappeared beneath the surging energy, releasing a terrifying energy blast aimed at the source of the disturbance.
"Boom!" Just as Robert's energy blast hit its mark
, a massive explosion erupted in the void, threatening to engulf Earth.
Although the explosion seemed to originate in space, the Dark Elf warship had been in stealth mode, making it nearly invisible. In reality, it was still within Earth's atmosphere, making its destructive potential even more dangerous.
However, Robert's quick actions and experience in handling explosions meant he was able to intercept the blast just in time, pushing the exploding warship away before the shockwave could reach Earth.
"Boom!"
Outside Earth's atmosphere, the explosion echoed through space, visible even during the day to half the planet.
The explosion's light was so bright it outshone the sun itself.
"What were you saying just now?" Robert turned back to Doom after dealing with the self-destructing warship, asking casually.
"Nothing!" Doom quickly shook his head, abandoning whatever he had intended to say.
