"The Son of Krypton has just perished, and now another powerful figure emerges? Is he trying to declare that it's now his era after the Son of Krypton?" As the Super Saiyan first appeared in this world, countless eyes from across the universe and numerous dimensions turned toward Robert. Many powerful beings became solemn.
Earlier, when Clark's near-death sound echoed, it was not just Robert and Lana Lang who heard it. Many advanced civilizations and powerful entities throughout the universe and dimensions also sensed it. But before they could react, Robert's terrifying aura spread across the cosmos.
"At this moment? Could he be heading to Earth too? What a coincidence? A powerhouse like this could be trouble!"
"Hmph! No matter how strong he is, it won't help! My invasion of Earth is set in stone, and not even the Son of Krypton can stop me!"
"How is this possible?!" Lana Lang had no knowledge of the cosmic and interdimensional events occurring. In the midst of her confusion and suspicion, she watched as Robert's aura materialized, transforming everything around them. Despite being in the vacuum of space, violent storms and thunderbolts raged wildly around them.
Especially when Robert turned his head to look at Lana Lang, she felt as though some terrifying entity had locked onto her—not a wild beast, but something far more advanced. His gaze, devoid of pupils, added to the terror.
"Why does it feel like Robert is stronger than Clark now? Wait... Clark!" Lana Lang, trembling slightly, muttered instinctively, but soon recalled the previous events. Her eyes widened, and she called out Clark's name in a panic.
Perhaps it was because Robert's aura had altered the environment, or maybe because of the raging thunder and storms surrounding them, but Lana Lang's voice carried through, and Robert heard it.
"Clark? Hmm?!" Robert murmured, and the burning rage in his mind began to clear. His pupils slowly reappeared, and his aura began to stabilize.
"Clark's aura... it really has disappeared!" Though Robert's mind was now clear, he still clenched his fists tightly, his eyes blazing with tangible anger as he stared in the direction of Earth.
After transforming into a Super Saiyan, Robert could sense the aura on Earth. He could feel Kara's, Diana's, and even Doomsday's, but Clark's was nowhere to be found.
Combining this with the fact that Kara and Diana's auras were unstable while Doomsday's was exploding wildly, Robert was sure—Clark had fallen!
Though Robert didn't know exactly what had happened on Earth, he could guess that Clark's death was undoubtedly related to Kryptonite!
"Robert? Are you saying something really happened to Clark?" Lana Lang asked, her eyes filled with sorrow as she caught Robert's words.
"Let's go back and see! Hopefully, Clark's aura is just too weak for me to detect..." Robert shook his head slowly, whispering a prayer.
"Go back? How are we supposed to... Huh?" Lana Lang started to ask, but then saw Robert place his hand on her shoulder. Her body suddenly felt light.
In an instant, Robert and Lana Lang crossed the vast distance of the universe and vanished, leaving behind the raging thunder and storms caused by Robert's power.
After some time, once Robert's energy had fully dissipated, the once tumultuous region of space returned to silence. It was as though nothing had changed, except for the fact that Vormir was gone. However, Vormir wouldn't disappear so easily, nor would the Soul Stone.
If Robert's energy blast had hit the Soul Stone directly, it might have been destroyed. But since Robert had only bombarded Vormir itself, without knowing where or what the Soul Stone truly was, he couldn't destroy it...
"Boom!" Meanwhile, back on Earth's battlefield, Hulk was sent flying, landing near Bruce Banner in his transformed Hulk state. The two, almost identical giants, exchanged a glance before Hulk charged at Doomsday once again.
Even though Bruce Banner disliked fighting, he couldn't stand idly by in such a critical situation. After all, compared to ordinary people, he had the ability to resist. Many ordinary citizens were unaware that if the Avengers failed, Earth itself could be destroyed.
Of course, the Avengers didn't know that Lex Luthor had a contingency plan to counter Doomsday. Lex had hidden it very well.
At this moment, unlike Hulk, who was still charging at Doomsday, Bruce's Hulk form was starting to falter. His body was covered in gruesome, unhealed wounds from Doomsday's attacks.
It wasn't that Hulk wasn't trying hard enough. In fact, this was the most desperate fight Bruce Banner had ever fought as Hulk.
The Avengers didn't have many members with regenerative abilities. After excluding Kara and the deceased Martian Manhunter, the only ones left were Morbius, Hulk, Bruce's Hulk form, Venom-enhanced Peter Parker, and the elementalized Johnny Storm.
As for the other vampires and werewolves, their regenerative abilities were decent, but they weren't strong enough to make a significant impact against Doomsday.
Thus, only Hulk and the others could truly hold back Doomsday's assault, protecting the more fragile Avengers like Susan Storm, Lorna, and Pietro from certain death.
That was the source of Hulk's wounds, and unlike regular Hulk, Bruce couldn't grow stronger through rage. He was reaching his limit.
"Kara! Stick to long-range support! Doomsday is becoming more effective at weakening you, and the Kryptonite gas around us isn't dispersing—it's being absorbed by Doomsday..." In the heart of the battlefield, Diana, also covered in vicious wounds, called out to Kara. Though divine light flickered from her wounds, they didn't heal immediately. Still, Diana ignored her own injuries and continued to fight, blocking Doomsday's bone spikes as she spoke to the more severely injured Kara.
"Got it!" Kara's eyes flashed with reluctance. Despite having improved tremendously, Kara's combat performance still fell short of Diana's.
If Kryptonite was a poison that could turn Kryptonians into ordinary people, the aura Doomsday emitted was a slow-acting toxin. Before Batman launched the Kryptonite weapons, neither Clark nor Kara had noticed the slow poison because its toxicity was mild at first.
But now, after being bombarded with Kryptonite, Doomsday's poison had grown much stronger. Kara wasn't completely powerless yet, but her strength had declined below even Hulk's and was continuing to weaken.
Kara knew that her best option was to stay away from Doomsday and use her heat vision to disrupt some of his attacks, at least to save a few Avengers' lives.
As for the possibility that Doomsday could absorb her heat vision to evolve further, Kara had no better option. With Clark still showing no signs of awakening...
"Boom!" Just as Kara moved away, Peter Parker's body was smashed into a pile of black sludge. Without Venom's help, Peter would have been completely done for. Even with Venom, recovering would be no simple task.
With Peter's frontline crumbling, Hulk was also impaled by Doomsday's hand, his body hanging limply from Doomsday's grip, looking eerily similar to Clark's earlier defeat.
Yet, even in agony, Hulk's fury only grew stronger. He roared in rage and bit down on Doomsday's hand with the determination to hurt him, even if it cost his life.
"Snap!" Hulk's teeth managed to shatter the bone armor on Doomsday's hand, causing blood to spill from the wound.
"Boom!" But Hulk's defiance only enraged Doomsday, who slammed Hulk into the ground. Then, a beam of heat vision blasted toward the airborne Hulk.
"Shh!" Fortunately, Kara, now out of range of the Kryptonite, reacted in time, intercepting Doomsday's heat vision with her own, buying Hulk a moment to land safely. Otherwise, his already torn body might have been obliterated.
However, Kara's heat vision was clearly no match for Doomsday's. After a brief clash, Kara was blasted away, her body crashing weakly to the ground.
Now, the only one left standing against Doomsday was Diana, still radiating a powerful fighting spirit despite her severe injuries.
"Roar!" Doomsday let out a deafening roar as he clashed with Diana's bone spikes. The force dazed Diana momentarily, and her grip on her sword weakened. She was thrown back, and her sword fell to the ground.
Doomsday, recognizing Diana as the last threat, quickly moved toward her, his massive foot crashing down toward her prone body.
"Humm!" In that critical moment, Diana raised her arms in defense, her protective bracelets glowing with divine energy, blocking Doomsday's foot.
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
But Doomsday didn't stop. Enraged by his failure to crush Diana, he lifted his foot again and again, stomping relentlessly at her glowing shield.
Each stomp shook the earth like an earthquake, and Diana's divine energy was rapidly depleting.
"Crack!" With a sharp sound, the divine protection finally shattered under Doomsday's assault, leaving Diana lying powerlessly in a crater.
Even now, Doomsday's attack didn't relent. His massive foot descended once more, aiming to crush Diana completely. She raised her divine shield, though it was already dim and unlikely to withstand the next blow.
"So close... If it were the old Doomsday, this wouldn't have been so hard. His evolution has been slower, but he's still much stronger now..." Diana whispered to herself with a trace of regret. "If Robert were here, he could keep up with Doomsday
's growth, right?"
"Boom!" Suddenly, a loud thud echoed above Diana, but she didn't feel any impact on her shield. Confused, she looked up and saw a golden-haired man, surrounded by blazing golden aura, standing in front of her. Beside him stood Lana Lang, who she didn't know well.
"Roar?!" Doomsday was equally confused. After failing to crush Diana, he looked down at his massive foot but couldn't see anything due to his own bulk.
Before Doomsday could react, a terrifying force surged from beneath him, far stronger than Diana's previous shield, and sent his massive body flying!
"Saiyan?!" Diana exclaimed in surprise as she looked at the familiar yet unfamiliar Robert standing before her. "Weren't you teleported away by the Space Stone? How did you get back? Is this the Super Saiyan transformation you mentioned?"
