The sound of swords clashing and the trembling of the first arena drew everyone's attention to it.
This fight had taken longer than many expected, considering how little resistance John had put up against William and how little resistance William had put up against Matthew.
Many thought that John would simply be dragged across the ground by Matthew, but, looking at things... they were more evenly matched than many believed.
Although Matthew had a clear advantage over John, he couldn't knock him down, or at least, he was finding it difficult.
Meanwhile...
Matthew was trying to learn and improve.
These fights were precious to him. He didn't come to this city just to win a tournament; that was of no use to him. He just wanted to strengthen his body. To improve his martial arts.
That's why his focus was on that.
