"Oh." Richard turned to look at him. "Something good?"
"Yes, although I don't know how certain people will take it," said Maverick, unconsciously glancing at Matthew from the arena.
Richard didn't miss the opportunity to ask a question as soon as he saw that.
"You know, I've been wondering about something for a while..." He pinched his nose. "Do you know anything about this little participant?"
"Your actions toward him aren't normal, you see. And since he's in my city..."
"Your city, sir?" Maverick interrupted him and shook his head. "Are you claiming the territory?"
Richard remained silent, staring at him.
"Do I need to answer that question, dear commander?"
Maverick smiled. He understood what he meant.
