Silvery blonde light filled his vision, and then Lucifer felt something heavy land in his hand. When the brilliance faded, he finally saw what it was.
A lumpy, uneven... egg?
Damn, just seconds ago, he was with Yotsuha in bed, and coming back to earth, due to time difference, she'd already popped up their 237th egg.
'That naughty little Oni Shrine princess...'
Before he could think further, his blessed skin---suddenly prickled in pain. A single drop of his blood from inside his palm directly seeped into, and absorbed instantly by the shell.
Then came the cracking sounds---'kacha, kacha'
A massive, oppressive aura burst forth. Lucifer felt his chest tighten under the weight, his body growing heavier---only for the sensation to melt away into something warm and intimate, as if 'bound by blood'.
He no longer felt the pressure, but half of London's animals were thrown into chaos. Wild creatures and countless household pets panicked, some 'howled' frantically, others cowered and whimpered---rousing untold numbers of sleeping people.
A small black head poked through the shell, bearing two pointed horns etched with strange markings. Large eyes blinked at the boy, then more of its body emerged so it could affectionately rub against Lucifer's palm.
"A black... caterpie?" He muttered under his breath.
"Chiiii-!"
The little newborn immediately bristled, wriggling violently to show its displeasure.
"Alright, alright, don't be mad. I was only joking." Lucifer chuckled, rubbing the little one's head, "Of course I know you're a Rayquaza. And not just any---a shiny Rayquaza."
Granted, if it weren't shiny, he really would have doubted it wasn't a caterpie. The resemblance was uncanny. The little one proudly lifted its head, then began nibbling on the remains of its own shell.
Rayquaza... Lucifer gazed at her, his heart full of awe, The mightiest legendary dragon of Hoenn region--the 'Sovereign of the skies'.
Before long, Rayquaza had finished every last shard of her shell, gave two satisfied chirps, then slithered into Lucifer's arms like a snake, closing her eyes to sleep. He snapped out of his thoughts and shook his head with a smile.
He was thinking too far ahead, Rayquaza had only just been born. Who knew how long it would be before he could rely on her to intimidate others? For now, he still had to depend on himself, and the rest of their family....
Stroking her head.
Rayquaza... well, her future power spoke for itself. And seriously--giving birth to a Rayquaza, Yotsuha remembered 'his pillowtalk' from that night months ago?

After playing with the sleeping Rayquaza for a while, he finally drifted off himself. The next morning, he woke up to a damp, wet sensation.
Opening his eyes, he found that Rayquaza had woken at some point and was licking his cheek with her little tongue. When she saw him awake, she chirped twice in greeting.
"You little rascal, can't you let me sleep in?" Lucifer ruffled her fondly. She showed no fear, wriggling around with boundless energy, "I can't just keep calling you Rayquaza, or 'little one. One day you'll grow up...."
Rubbing his chin, he pondered what name to give her---only to suddenly realize something.
"Wait... are you a boy or a girl?"
He picked her up like a slippery eel and examined her from all angles. Determining gender has always been beyond him.... Fortunately, through telepathy, the little one sent him fragmented messages that finally made it clear.
"So, you're a girl. In that case... I'll call you 'Usagi."
Black as midnight--what could be more fitting?
"Remember, from now on, your name is Usagi," Lucifer reminded her, though he didn't mind that the little one only seemed to half-understand.
Even if she was a divine beast, a newborn's mind wouldn't be fully developed. That would take time and nurturing, "Come on, I'll take you to meet new friends I made here, they are now... 'your sisters and aunt."
Lucifer walked to the head of the bed and took a small, card-case-sized box from his pocket. He set it down on the floor, and the moment it touched the ground, it suddenly expanded. He flipped open the lid and stepped inside.
It was his own custom-made "Morningstar edition" of Newt Scamander's suitcase magically expanded space that had a surpassed even his own expectations, holding a stable area larger than one and a half Quidditch pitches.
He had even transplanted flora and trees from Forbidden Forest into it. At the very center of the space was a pool about size of a standard swimming pool, its waters purified and enchanted to remain pristine.
Normally, when you added such a massive extension, the container could no longer change shape so easily. But Lucifer had used the finest dragonhide and dragonbone, giving it unmatched durability. The smallest it could shrink to was its original card-case size, making it very convenient to carry-----
He entered the suitcase with Usagi in his arms. Inside, three unicorns were lazily basking in sunlight channeled from the outside world. But moment they noticed the man and dragon approaching, they panicked, jumping to their feet and staring in fear at the tiny dragon in Lucifer's arms.
Even after he introduced her and, right before their eyes, kneaded Usagi into a fluffy little ball, their fear didn't lessen much. Some instincts couldn't be reasoned away.
Dragons and snakes do not dwell together, and a divine beast's aura was something even unicorns could not bear. Baby or not, the pressure Usagi exuded was real. In section of legendary creatures' territories rarely had 'any other living' within them.
Lucifer had originally planned to have the unicorns act as nannies for Usagi, but that clearly wasn't going to work. Besides, the little one was extremely clingy leaving her alone here was 'impossible.'
She 'flat-out' refused to be apart from him. Right now, Rayquaza was still small enough to fit comfortably in his arms, but later...?
He remembered that a fully grown Rayquaza could reach at least ten meters in length.
Forget it, Lucifer sighed. She was still a baby, not even a day old. Clinginess was normal. She'd grow out of it eventually.... He didn't feel like sending her back to Hell, just yet.
"Don't scare your sisters and aunties," Lucifer said, rubbing Usagi's small head. Then he approached Unicorns to feed them their daily ration of "pure essence."
Usagi watched with interest and imitated them, nibbling a little herself. The sudden arrival of another mouth to feed made the unicorns quietly speed up their 'eating!'
Unlike the unicorns, Usagi didn't seem to feel much from the meal, after two bites, she stopped.
That made Lucifer realize... he didn't actually know what 'Rayquaza' ate. He quickly went to a small warehouse at the edge of space, bringing out all sorts of herbs and pet food to let Usagi choose.
She ignored the herbs entirely, tried a couple of bites of various pet foods, then looked up at him with a distinctly human---like expression of disdain.
So, Lucifer carried her into the warehouse itself--- and immediately, Usagi's eyes lit up at the sight of dragon meat.
All of it was frozen solid with a 'FreezingCharm'. Lucifer took out a piece to thaw, and Usagi tore into it with gusto. When she finished one piece, she wanted more eating three more in quick succession before finally curling up in satisfaction and falling asleep.
Without even Lucifer's own magic, he had now also mastered Grindelwald's signature 'Human Transfiguration' technique, and the original Laddie had, naturally, lost any reason to remain alive.
With Transfiguration and Confundus Charms in arsenal, he could pass any identity check in this Muggle world without breaking a sweat.

Lucifer had made no headway on finding anything useful about Merlin, so he discarded it being a lost cause, of a 'fallen' going wild, and turning into a human. He was sitting in his room, on his bed with half a dozen books sprawled out on his bed.
Eve was lying on her pillow, sleeping away the day. He looked over at her, She was very intelligent, but Eve was also the laziest animal he'd ever seen, except for maybe Scabbers.
'Rowena' was the direct opposite of her though, very active, flying outside.
Amenadiel's gone to manage "Hell" and Lucifer even ordered Maze to go with him, but her main goal was using that God-given locket to reveal the hidden dimension.... But there was also something he came across in his search for information on Merlin that disgusted Lucifer to his core.
It was a word, a term used specially for 'Muggle-borns'. At first he didn't care what happened to humans, but the more he read about the 'First Wizarding War', Lucifer felt very nauseous when he learned what it really meant before it changed to anger, disgust... towards the new species created by God, after he fell....
Not even realising the fact, he did so only because, it involved a certain bushy-haired girl....
