Chapter 128 - TMomL 0128 - Joy and pain

I come out of the shower with a smile and no more laziness, only maybe a bit of satisfied languidness. It has been a while since I last pleasured myself, but I have to say that cumming is really a good way to let out stress and also negativity.

My smile remains as I find my clothes and go downstairs. I hear the noise in the kitchen before even seeing Liz, and she raises her head to me, having also heard my footsteps.

"Did you not sleep well tonight?"

I raise my eyebrows in surprise.

"Why do you ask?"

Liz points at the breast pump with not much content at the side of the countertop.

"I wanted to get some milk to put in the fridge, but I found my breasts almost empty."

I smile and walk with light steps to sit across from her.

"I slept well. But maybe I ate in my sleep?"

Liz looks at me without a word, but under her gentle gaze, I only manage to hold my smile for a while before I exhale.

"Alright, you got me. But I didn't sleep that badly either. I really should have eaten in my sleep."

The violet eyes look at me deeply, before Liz raises her plump chest with deep breath, then smiles.

"You can suckle all you want. Just, try not to let your mind be too burdened."

My smile twitches.

"Sis, can you not use that word? You can use the verbs eat or drink. Why use 'suckle' that makes me seem like a baby?"

Liz looks at me and laughs, before she extends her hand to ruffle the tip of my hair.

"With me, you can be a baby. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."

"Ha. Ha."

I let out a sarcastic laugh, but don't say anything to refute her. I exhale with relief that she didn't ask about yesterday and the cause of my restlessness last night, and look at what she is making.

After a while, I break the silence.

"I will be going back to work at the mall next week."

Liz pauses, and looks up.

"Your legs?"

I raise my eyebrows, and shift to the side to raise my leg up to show that it is okay, or maybe to show off my flexibility.

"I don't limp anymore when I walk, and I should be able to heal even further until then."

Liz shakes her head in amusement as I laugh, and continues to ask:

"Only work, right? No strenuous activities yet."

"Hm. I want to join a sports club, but for that and for Def-Art, I will wait for the end of the month, or something like that. I am even more afraid of leaving behind sequelae than you are, so don't worry."

Liz nods, and moves on.

"What about your tattoo?"

"It won't bother me. It isn't even bothering me that much anymore. The pain has almost completely faded away. And I checked it just now before taking a shower and after."

Liz frowns instead of being reassured.

"You let it get wet?"

"Only a little. I was careful."

She looks at my smile for a while, then nods, taking my words for it.

"Go prepare the table. It is almost ready."

"Kay~"

Before long, Liz comes out of the kitchen. While helping her with a smile, I look at her gait, and her stomach. Fortunately, there is no sign of pain strong enough to leave her pale. And she has never been one to be anything other than calm and gentle, so even after standing for a while and walking around, she has not forced on her wounds.

I nod, satisfied that she is also healing well, and sit down across from her after going into the kitchen to bring out the juices. She takes the strawberry one, while I take the orange one.

Though we are no vegetarians, there is no meat in the breakfast. It is light but filling, and we eat without haste in a quiet atmosphere. When we are done, though Liz opposes, saying she will take care of them later, I wash the dishes and leave them dry before I hurry upstairs to take my things, the most important of which is my backpack.

Then, without pausing, I walk to the door.

"Sis, remember to rest and not overexert yourself."

Liz smiles gently but somewhat helplessly, then nods at me.

"I will. You remember to take care of yourself outside."

I give her a deep look, to make her understand that I am being serious about my exhortation, then I nod at her words too

"I will."

I give her one last glance stern enough to make her usual disobedience know that it is under my sharp gaze, then step out and close the door. The way to the school is like it should be everyday. The school day is also normal. I cheat my way through the learning process, making it actually enjoyable and less dreary, and finally, after many hours, the day ends with the last ringing of the bell.

Cheating has become easier now, demanding less focus. I can say that it is one of the good sides of the changes that seem to come from a well of potential opening inside me. But on another note, I don't know if I really should be happy for that, because, like now, I can bring myself to muster a true smile.

"Max, can I borrow your notes, please?"

'She has become different this year, especially after breaking up with Josh. If I can bang her, I will be able to brag before him and his brother later. Hah, cold bitches are the best.'

By the end of the noisy inner monologue, I can't even maintain my fake smile. It fades away, and I take a deep breath. But before I can speak, Emmie comes to stand beside my desk. Holding her bag over her shoulder, her red eyes carry a look of disdain while her lips carry a sneer.

"Todd, wipe the drool running down your chin before trying to pretend here. You are looking like a toad right now, and there is no princess here interested in your chapped lips."

"Pfft."
