Upon hearing Chi Zaozao's complaint, Ye Que couldn't help but turn to look at her.
Looking at her, his deep, ink-black eyes flickered, and suddenly he curled his lips into a wicked smile.
Chi Zaozao found him baffling; what's so funny?
She touched her face, puzzled, and asked him, "Is there something on my face?"
Ye Que no longer looked at her but placed his hands behind his head, lazily leaning on the sofa, crossing his legs while staring intently at their daughter watching cartoons across the room.
Seeing that he didn't respond, Chi Zaozao scooched closer to him, leaning near his ear to ask, "Come on, why are you laughing?"
He tilted his head and kissed her cheek casually, "I'll tell you later."
He indicated with his gaze for Chi Zaozao to look at their daughter across the room. Chi Zaozao looked over and found their daughter laughing, seemingly very fond of Bald Qiang; she laughed every time she saw him.
