The child's little sweater is finished. I'm now knitting one for Kang Chen, but since his clothes are bigger, the progress is a bit slow.
Kang Chen, exhausted, stood at the doorway like a cat, just watching Ming Mei with a smile on his face, his eyes so tender they could almost melt into tears.
He lingered at the door for a full ten minutes without coming in. Ming Mei couldn't stand it any longer and looked up: "Hey, are you coming in or not? If you don't want to, close the door and let me sleep."
"I'm coming in, of course I am. Where else would I sleep if I don't come in?"
Kang Chen hurriedly closed the door and came in.
He walked to the bedside, sat down, and reached out to touch Ming Mei's stomach, but she slapped his hand away before he could.
"How many germs did you bring back from outside? Did you wash your hands? Have you eaten?"
Kang Chen lay beside the bed, tilted his head, and looked at Ming Mei. "No..."
