Sheng Sheng had already heated the cooked food and placed it on a plate. He took a carton of milk from the fridge and put it into the microwave, waving at her, saying, "Come eat."
Maimai provocatively lay on the couch, staying put. "Who said I want to eat that? At night, I only eat some yogurt and fruit. Eating that will make me fat."
"Come over," Sheng Sheng said, squinting a little as he spoke.
Under the light, he did have a bit of an imposing presence, but Maimai wasn't afraid. Watching him pour milk into a glass, she said, "I want yogurt, not regular milk."
Sheng Sheng nodded, his expression softening, a slight curve on his lips. "There's fruit, and yogurt too. You eat these first, and I'll keep getting more for you."
Maimai tilted her head, reluctantly admitting she was a bit hungry. She grudgingly went to the dining room and sat down. "What kinds of fruit are there? I want to eat cherries and mangoes, nothing else."
