Chapter 36 - Chapter 34: Sensing Danger

After an hour, Alpha Gabriel Stone, the leader of the Lunar Pack, arrived with his deputy, Orion Bloodfang, who had recently been promoted to the position of second-in-command. As soon as they entered, the atmosphere in the room shifted, and all the werewolves turned their attention towards them, nodding in acknowledgment of their presence.

Without wasting any time, Alpha Gabriel Stone approached Maria Grace with a stern expression on his face. "Where is my daughter?" he growled, his voice filled with a mix of concern and anger.

Maria Grace was taken aback by his words, realizing the urgency of the situation. She immediately initiated a telepathic connection with Eijin, wanting to know her current situation. Now that they had discovered the true mastermind behind Eijin's kidnapping, they could finally initiate the attack. Maria Grace knew that Joyce, along with the five special forces members waiting outside, were ready to act as soon as she gave the signal.

As Maria Grace listened to Alpha Gabriel's accusations, her confusion deepened. She genuinely had no idea what he was talking about. The thought raced through her mind, "What daughter is he referring to? Have I missed something?"

Summoning her courage, Maria Grace responded, her voice tinged with a mix of frustration and sincerity. "I assure you, Werewolf Alpha, I have no knowledge of any daughter. I am not playing dumb. You know that werewolves can sense when humans lie. I am being truthful when I say I have no idea what you're talking about."

Maria Grace had a point. Werewolves possessed heightened senses and instincts that allowed them to detect falsehoods. If she truly had any information about Alpha Gabriel's daughter, he would have sensed it.

Alpha Gabriel's patience wore thin, his frustration evident in his voice. "You, as the highest authority in your organization, must be aware of this. It has been 19 years since you took my human mate. She was fated to me by the goddess of the moon. Who are you humans to intervene in our affairs? We do not abide by your laws, yet you force them upon all kinds of creatures."

Maria Grace felt a pang of guilt and empathy for Alpha Gabriel's pain. She understood the deep bond between mates and the lengths one would go to protect their loved ones. However, she was genuinely clueless about the situation he described.

Taking a moment to compose herself, Maria Grace responded with sincerity, "Alpha, I truly have no knowledge of your human mate or any interference in your affairs."

As the tension escalated, Orion stepped in, voicing his suggestion to eliminate Maria Grace and reinforce their dominance. "Alpha, this woman appears to have no knowledge of your beloved child. Killing her would be a significant blow to their organization," he proposed, his tone filled with a sinister edge.

Jeson, fueled by the growing animosity, added to the fire. "Indeed, Alpha. By eliminating her, we can send a powerful message to the humans that we are not bound by their foolish laws," he chimed in, stoking the flames of rebellion.

Alpha Gabriel, frustrated and desperate for answers, contemplated their words. Realizing that extracting any information from the director of Shadowstrike seemed futile, he made a decision. "Very well," he conceded, his voice laced with resignation. "Do as you please with them."

Maria Grace, sensing the imminent danger, telepathically transmitted the signal to Joyce and the elite bodyguards. "Attack now," she commanded, unleashing their plan into action.

To their astonishment, as Joyce and the bodyguards rushed towards the building, the seemingly ordinary people around the whole vicinity of the building transformed into werewolves. Even the couple enjoying a date in front of a coffee shop and the shop owners themselves revealed their true forms, joining the frenzied assault. "Protect our Alpha!" they growled, their loyalty unwavering.

Inside the building, Eijin sprang into action, swiftly dispatching two werewolves upon landing. With precise and deadly movements, he swings his arms, which transformed into bladed weapons. Slashing his way through the cage that held Maria Grace captive, he unleashed a barrage of bladed projectiles, preventing any escape.

"Wow, impressive! This guy is really good at fighting," Maria Grace couldn't hide her admiration for Eijin. "No wonder the girls admire him." Reffering to their all-girl team, Shadowstrike.

Alpha Gabriel, Orion, and Jeson were taken aback by the sudden appearance of a familiar entity. Realizing the gravity of the situation, they murmured an enchantment and swiftly swallowed a pill. Combining the power of the Stone on Ka-linga with the enhancing drugs, they dramatically amplified their physical attributes, preparing for a formidable battle ahead.

Jeson grabbed the SUV, lifted it, and threw it towards Eijin, who was busy fighting dozens of werewolves. Two werewolves were accidentally hit by the SUV, but the leaders didn't seem to care. They considered them as collateral damage, a simple sacrifice that meant nothing to accomplish their goals.

Eijin was taken aback by the sudden SUV hurtling towards him. His symbiotes immediately created an abstract shield, stopping the rampaging SUV. As soon as it came to a halt, the shield transformed into numerous pointed weapons, piercing the SUV and destroying it in an instant.

After Eijin destroyed the vehicle, he once again focused his attention on the werewolves, only to be taken aback by a swift attack from Orion and Jeson. He managed to block their attacks with both his left and right arms, but the two deputies grabbed hold of his arms. Immediately, a bladed weapon manifested to free him from their grasp. However, as his bladed weapons retracted, Alpha Gabriel suddenly appeared. He was so fast that Eijin couldn't evade or block his attack. A swift slash of his claws landed on Eijin's chest and abdomen, causing blood to splatter from the deep wound. But the barrage of attacks didn't stop there. Jeson and Orion followed up with a forceful kick, sending Eijin flying and crashing into the container vans.

"Eijin!" Mara shouted worriedly. She was connected to Eijin telepathically, monitoring all his actions.

Elise was taken aback by Mara's sudden shocking voice, causing Mara to lose concentration and be unable to maintain mental manipulation over Elise's mind.

"What happened?" Elise asked Mara in confusion.

Mara regained her composure and manipulated Elise's mind once more before telepathically contacting Eijin. "Eijin! Answer me, are you okay?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.

At that moment, Maria Grace was also worried about Eijin. "Where are you, Joyce?" she thought to herself. "You need to help this guy." She couldn't contact Joyce or any of the elite bodyguards, meaning they were out of range for her telepathic connection.
