Yan Xixi focused on her meal, paying no attention to her surroundings.
However, when she looked up, she saw a woman combining the remains of two plates of rice noodles. She then added an unfinished snack to the same tray.
Is this woman a cleaner? Yan Xixi wondered. But the cleaners all wear uniforms. This woman is in plain clothes; she's not a waitress.
Besides, the woman remained seated.
A cleaner wouldn't collect dishes while sitting.
Yan Xixi, surprised, casually glanced over. The woman was neatly dressed, her hair tidy. A faint, forced smile played on her lips, doing little to hide her tension and awkwardness. She seemed to be trying hard to appear natural, but it wasn't working at all.
Yan Xixi lowered her head and returned to her meal.
Just then, the woman looked around, picked up the tray, and left.
